Episode 22
It was indeed a good episode, after ages, i mean ages, all focus on leads, minimal rona dhona and establishing the upcoming fireworks of Farhad facing the worst fear of his life, ohh boy, i want to see how he faces Mahi, the moment she tells him on his face that 'I am a widow', please let Mahi be the one to break it to him, his trance of being the 'dhutkara' will elevate to a state of being complete 'guilt' and 'helplessness' . The stage has been set tonight 🥳
Mahi's family had their 3rd ruksaati tonight, matlab KAM3 setting records of Mahi doing ruksaati of her useless family in different days, and humko ye sab jhelna parta hai 🤣. I love how T's amma's expressions are like F OFF you losers, she has my heart I swear. I feel bad for her, her son is no more and yahape the hypocrite gang is busy at making faces and claiming ke dawat nahi diya 🤪
Mahi, well, I like it how she has mingled so well with the servants, the kids, her Sikka bhai too, matlab Mahi definitely has the aura jo few days mei everyone starts singing her tunes, cough cough, remember Farhad 😆
Very soon, her maa ji will also love her like a daughter and accept that she is Mahi Rani. Also, I can totally see both saas-bahu planning to visit the mazaar together only to find out that Mahi's long lost aashiq is indeed lost his marbles, can that come soon though, I want to see the glow and joy on Mahi's face, when she sees his alive, opposing the horror in his face, that moment shall be as epic as the library and equally powerful. Mahi did her jasusi well too, ek jhatke mei she got Romana's picture, by next episode she will understand that Rom is Sikka bhai's bhikharan aashiq too. This show setting new standards of aashiqi I swear 🤣
RomSik, one thing I do not understand is that, ye Malik Muneer Roma ko dhamki deraha hai, and Sikka is like, I will have a trip and then come and face your aashiq, ye kaisa dynamics hai yaar, should not he be scared?
The entire shot of baba saying 'har tamanna, har chahat ka wasaal hoga', and the moment he sees Farhad he stops, it seemed more like 'Har tamanna puri nahi hoti and we shall accept it', and then Farhad slowly lifts his face up and his whole face is seen, how beautifully significant was that shot though? Brilliant brilliant acting by both the actors, the baba knows that Farhad is distraught after losing something, and the same distraught Farhad over hears that 'Allah fulfills every desire if you only ask for it', how does that make him feel? Dhutkara, not good enough as a God's child, or just the fact that his Dua is not good enough? Also, when the drunk man says 'I want you to pray for me', the other guy asks that why do not you pray for yourself, and the guy responds, kyuki meri dua ka asar hota hi nahi , again signifying to Farhad that 'He thinks his dua has no impact, no value' and the entire scenario building up to Romana asking Farhad for his dua was a master stroke.
Another brilliant lesson to establish Farhad's upcoming tragedy (T's death) was when Baba claimed that we have good and bad blood in our veins, but it is only our choice whom we shall let win, Farhad being the good human he is, never thinking bad about others over hearing the concept of good triumphing over every other problem is what makes me say that may be Hashim Nadeem intentionally wrote this, intentionally wrote the suffering and misery of an otherwise good guy who obviously dared to fall in love and end up cursing his beloved. Yes, curses and prayers could be very trivial for many, but someone like Farhad, with a simple backdrop and a complete white outlook to life, it is a huge thing, his bitter-self took over his innate goodness and he did what he should not have done. I am so glad they have showed the two conversations being over heard by Farhad, it only will have reflection upon his actions in future.
Romana well, I really feel bad for her, but I still hate the fact that she called herself a bhikharan who just wants Sikka's dahleez, to Farhad's shock, she sounded exactly like him, and here I ask Hashim Nadeem again, why make lovers so de-valued that they themselves think that they are beggars and have no place but the beloved's acceptance? Itna mamuli hai kya inke khudki hasiyaat? When Farhad called himself mohabbat ka bhikhari, it was more rooted from Mahi's first rejection, but Romana, well, Sikka is literally having a relationship with her and she is still made to believe that she can only be a doormat? Farhad and Romana trying to woo their beloveds by losing their spine and somewhat begging and then still failing badly is the worst kind of twist I have ever seen in a love saga, Mahi and Sikka are not jannat ke hoors jiske validation ke liye aadmi pagal hojaye, like literally Farhad lost it and Romana now losing it, WTF is this . Also, has Farhad completely forgot his family, what is this? I understand his state, but he abandoned his family for a woman who only insulted him? Farhad's biggest mistake is he abandoned his family, it is worse than his baddua.
Farhad mocking his own dua, his own existence, his self worth had me thinking that he was the same guy who was 200 percent confident that he will go to Bahawalpur and win his woman, WOW, what a downfall, and indeed the worst downfall for any male character I have rooted for. I always liked flawed male leads, but never thought that a character's misery will suffocate me this much, more because this guy has been desirable to many women and not only the one who apparently is royal and some fairy tale princess. Romana routing in the same path, well I know this time shayad mohabbat will win over societal norms of class difference, aamir-gareeb, and that might give solace to me who genuinely believed that good people always win and their love is always pure. Kudos to Romana, for empathizing with Farhad, there is at least one bond in the show which is completely platonic, they ain't lovers, ain't friends, ain't siblings, but broken souls connecting with each other over the mockery their fate has been, one was born as a courtesans and the other one as the 'khota sikka' indeed.
I loved how the entire scene played out between FeeRom, the thunderstorm and loud rain, and a helpless woman asking for nothing but only prayers from an equally helpless man, and mind you, even at his distraught state he did not refuse her, that's what Farhad indeed is, it is so easy to convince him with kindness and empathy, he always seeked this, the man who thought rich people were good (just because they smiled at him), the man who thought Dilawar should be saved without fearing Nazim shah's rules, the same man who took the bullet for saving his master because gaddari nahi karni aati, and the same man who accepted a stranger woman's plea, who had humiliated him to be a thief. Hashim Nadeem wants me to believe that he deserves all this shit because he fell in love 👎🏼
An applause for the actors, Hina bayat stole my heart in that one shot of silent tears, it felt like it was physically hurting her, Noor Ul Hassan and Tooba were good as usual, Tooba's make up could be a little less. Feroze, well, this guy's voice modulation deserves an applause, the entire look and his performance, will remain iconic.
I am sorry, every time i try to write less, but I start ranting and my posts become very big, please ignore if it bores you guys.
