Why was 'Lamhe' bombed at box office?

Yash Chopra made a beautiful film Lamhe with Sridevi and Anil Kapoor.

because queen Aishwarya wasn't in it 😒

People didn’t like moustache-less Anil Kapoor. No baal, no maal.

Perhaps the concept was too shocking for those times and made people uncomfortable.

was a beautiful film. nice songs, lovely locations. story was out of the box.

may be audience didn't like the concept of hero loved the mother and marries her daughter😆

It wasn’t offered to Aishwarya… all the movies she was offered and rejected went on to become blockbusters, right?

who he was the guardian and paid for all her expenses. I still don't like the concept. You cannot get romantic with a child you raised even if it was only financially because that automatically puts in a guardian's role. Hate the movie for that. It could be infatuation for a small girl but to show an adult give into that infatuation and then call it love is too much.

P.S. I don't mind age gap between two consenting adults, mind age gap only where you are in a position where you have helped raise the child in any way, shape and form and/or have known the child since they were a child. That I cannot accept.

Why did the daughter's character fall in love with anil kapoor's character of all people? She was clearly infactuated and needed to get out of her obsession with her guardian , but instead they make it a love story . Matlab Reebok nhi to rebukiye hi sahi concept.

It did?? I was too young to know. But it’s a lovely movie!
