He is the only one who has ever stood beside her, saved her and educated her in her life. Isn't it natural she would love him. I don't think she has understood the dept of her emotion. Right now her love is about admiration and respect and nothing romantic. She just wants her sakha babu to give her patta(like congratulate her on getting gold medal) that's it.

Also bon didn't understand many of the things that happened to her. As a result she is not aware of most things now also because she was away for so long from everyone.
