Ok, I'm done watching!

My thoughts:

First one: Majnu

- Whole story felt forced. The story felt over all the place. No thank you!

Second one: Khilauna

- This one creeped me out. The background music was creepy too.

- Really liked the first song they play in the story

- Nusrat was great!

Third one: Geeli Pucchi

- This was was so messed up..I felt so bad for Konkona's character and Aditi's for different reasons 😒 They were both a little shades of gray and I kept hoping for a happy ending.

- Konkona was amazing as usual and Aditi was great.

Fourth one: Ankahi

- Sad : (

- Shefali was great as usual but the absolute highlight for me was Manav Kaul. He is the one who impressed me the most out of ALL the actors. WOW WOW WOW!!!!! His performance was just beautiful.

Absolutely spot on. Matches perfectly with mine👍🏼

I was watching it. Just finished the one with Konkona. It was brilliant but disturbing. I'm gonna have to take a break. Didn't like the first one at all. Jaydeep Ahlawat was wasted in that role. The second one holds up because of Nusrat Barucha's charm and acting. It had its moments but it felt like the climax was shoehorned into it.

I like anthologies in reading, usually it is hard to create the same interest in short filming because there is less time to convey meaning, however this one was well executed with good portrayals of everyday events and issues. Most real life events do not have a thunderous happy ending nor a tragic end, things just happen and humans machinate and roll with life and it's waves. This film captures everyday life in India in a very global and nuanced way I found it to be very clever writing well executed and realistic, the performers all did an awesome job with no over acting, as there was no need they were not into glorification, but simply letting the story tell itself. I am happy to see the Hindi film industry and it's actors when it shows signs of maturing and concentrating on content, that allows the audience to think and ponder consequences and the results of actions. Proof that there is ample material that goes beyond commercially tried and true. It a wake up bell to start coming up with fresh material.

This one is a recommended watch on a day when you are looking for more than peppy fake and impossible action fights or when you need re-affirmation that not all questions have answers or at least no easy resolution.

Konkana, Manav & Shefali just stole my heart. The last 2 movies are powerful in their own ways!

I liked the last 2 stories. Both were beautiful and the acting was wonderful as well!! First one was super boring, second one too dark!! Konkona was simply amazing though!⭐️ And Manav Kaul in the last story took my heart away ❤️. He was doing wonders just with his facial expressions

What was binny's motivation? This part seemed very forced, especially since there's a thousand ways to do the act without it being so gruesome.

What did konkona's character take most offense to? That she was rejected because of her caste, that Priya used her, or that her feelings weren't reciprocated as sincerely as she had them?

Why did Natasha reject her lover so harshly? Just because she saw a glimpse of hope from her husband?

@Bold- IKR. What was the need to include that gruesome scene in the first place 🤢 And to think that a little 6-7 year old girl murdered the baby, atleast that's what they implied at the end, it's very disturbing!! I think her motivation was that earlier in the film, she watched her sister getting groped by their employer,I mean her elder sister was molested right in front of her eyes and also later their friend was also badly beaten by the same man for no fault of his. Binny witnessed this all and it just fuelled her motivation for revenge or something, I don't know, the theme of the story was the class differences and how the rich treat the poor, though I didn't really relate to the story and failed to have any sympathy for both the sisters because of how cunning, street smart, opportunistic they were and behaved, and the horrible way in which Binny killed the child just because her sister told her that rich people consider their babies as "toys" so she literally took it like one and burned it alive. The story had an open ending and was upto interpretations like who killed the baby, what was the motivation etc. but going by the story I think it was pretty clear why Binny killed the baby, as a form of revenge IMO, and it was pathetic and the most inhuman thing ,to say the least🤢
