Now coming to the most crucial and the most exciting part of the episode, the revival and renewal of Dev Shiva Ravi conflict. If you notice during the entire sequence, Shiva’s gaze only lingers at Ravi And not at Dev. His eyes are fixated at her trying to gauge every single reaction from her. He has been a first-hand witness to Raavi’s madness, infatuation or love for Dev.

This is the same woman who was ready to die, hanging from the noose, because she couldn’t get the love of her life. He was the first person who came to know about her unconditional love for Dev for the last 10 years. He was the first man who understood the depth of her feelings and then they were suddenly thrown into this marriage together.

It brings me back to the wedding night when he looked at the gift with the message “I love you Dev “. What could be the condition of a man who just stepped into his brothers shoes and got married to the woman who was left at the altar by his brother? She is the same woman who had spent an eternity in being in love with his brother. That’s a colossal challenge and complexity to carry on your shoulders. She dissed him openly during their wedding night. She warned that this marriage has no future and they could ever be one. Shiva has been pretty much a simple man. The only marital relationship he was privy to was that of Dhara and Gautam. He always knew that a man loves his wife and the wife loves them equally. Isn’t it strange that his wife didn’t want to love him?

Let’s for once forget the hatred and animosity amongst them. Do you think still it’s easy for someone to carry a burden like that?

No matter how much Shiva says otherwise, right from the childhood Raavi mattered to him. Her caustic words used to affect him when she would tag along with Dev and make fun of him. I remember very clearly how upset he was when she called him Jhalla. This was brought to light even during their bus ride to the Haveli where even her minor laughter would irk him.

Alas, he would never be the man she dreamt of. He would never be the man She chose. And, he Feels that he will never be the man Who is worthy of her.

If you go back and watch this particular scene again, you notice that there is no sadness in his eyes. It’s anger mixed with a certain sense of fear and pain. Till date, he hasn’t seen Dev making any slight initiation to talk to Raavi. The moment he speaks and apologises, he sees Raavi melting and forgiving him instantly. Her smile is brimming and he could see the comfort they share. Shiva would never be the man With whom she could share such a comfort. It probably pinches him, it mortally injures his sense of self-worth. It maybe a slight hint of jealousy of not being able to share vibe so comfortable with a life partner. All this and much more is layered in the scene. I think it’s just a boost needed for the conflict of a lifetime to start again. Please do watch the scene and you could Shiva’s chest heaving up snx down with an intense emotion.

They are slowly getting there. They will share the same comfort soon.

If I said what's on my mind

You'd turn and walk away

Disappearing way back in your dreams

It's so hard to be unkind

So easy just to say

That everything is just the way it seems

You look up at me

And somewhere in your mind you see

A man I'll never be

Image

If only I could find a way

I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am

And it gets harder every day for me

To hide behind this dream you see

A man I'll never be

You look up at me

And somewhere in your mind you see

A man I'll never be

If only I could find a way

I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am

And it gets harder every day for me

To hide behind this…

But I was not good enough. You should understand this about me—I am not a hero; not one to tap unknown reserves of courage; not one to rise to circumstance. I am the understudy who chokes on his lines when he is forced onto the stage. I am never, ever good enough.

Married into madhouse patel family (Was first nonpatel bahu- not preferred one, all kekta level kaands & karnames do happen in this family + extended large family forever.. never ending).

Have a dhara2.0 sort of version in m life- My husband's (he is youngest in the family)10 year older sister. in his family from sisters, to buas, to now nieces- no one has ever gone to sasural,. all bring in gharjamai.

When married & came to the US, had 0 idea what ai was walking into.

My mil-fil were only one back in India- 'store owners' - multiple locations :)

But yearly 3-4 visits to family in US was common for them. MIL accompanied me When I came to the US, to 'train' me. (cooking was not my forte or priority before marriage- was studying & working- no time. This family 3 full meals- you wake up & straight to the kitchen. Smell like Tel masala all day, if you go out, need to be back home by 3 to cook- in India/ by 5 in US)

Coming to kanganisque kaand:

My nanad's daughter's first birthday was soon after I came to US. We got all the gifts everything- but My Mil asked: get your jewelry box, Want to see something. Luckily all the gold & shadiwali jewelry we had already put in locker. Only silver / Navratri jewelry was home with me.

She insisted above gifts: "dikri ne dagino apvo pade"

I told her, we will get something from local mall. & she said no: give from what youhave. Don't make my son spend. (I was naive, stupid, idiot enough not to confront in initial years, wanted to gel in)

And she took a nice silver necklace- one which was given to me by my naani- an old vintage but classic gift. real solid one.

And she gave it to her granddaughter saying gift from all of us (my jeth that time was unmarried- nursing break up from white girlfriend as his family disapproved. we used to all live in same house)

My dil, jaan was all hurt. It still is. My SIL doesn't care, she obviously has no value for the sentiments behind what this necklace was to me.

Later, during Diwali- My husna=band said lets get new one- and we can ask sister to replace.

it was a given as a gift after all & that was fair. (just like Shiva did)

We got it. We gave her. & MIL issues new farmaan: old one is for SIL's younger daughter, the new one for older one. Mama is supposed to do that much !

I am maami but still in loss. I still don't have it. It still hurts.

Kekta is omnipresent in my real world!

Here you go🤗 OMG, how are you putting up with this. I suppose you have a very loving and supportive husband😃, all power to you, girl.

Delete this post before the PS spy reads this!! 🤣🤣
yeah this could happen, she is already not a fan of the family and she already see that Raavi is always choosing their side since she is little. But maybe not because Raavi almost always choose the side of the Pandya family, so its nothing new for maami.

Did anyone feel the same??? In yesterday's episode after Raavi tried to jump, and Shiva came near to her for a second I thought he is gonna shout and slap her for the stupidity. I felt that scene is bit incomplete. Any thoughts
