Sometimes, when life throws curveballs at you, the only option you have is to move on and make hay while the sun shines. I have often wondered why Gaumbi isn't passionate or hurt as Shiva or funny as Krish! (Donāt ask me about Dev, I can't think of any redeeming quality)
The answer is simple! Gaumbi is a man who grew up before his age. He neither had the time to grieve or ponder like Shiva nor had the time to live a carefree life like Krish. He was just 21 when he was left with a disabled ailing mother, three kid brothers, the responsibility of running the household as well as fulfil his fatherās dream. Grieving and catharsis is a highly emotional journey, and for Gaumbi, he never got the time to live for himself!
He unknowingly stepped into his father's shoes and had to adapt a sense of calm to run the family! Such incidences change you. You suddenly grow up without life you can call your own.
Gaumbi has my heart. He is neither too passionate, not too funny! He is the proper sense of balance for the family. He shifts the centre of gravity in his family on himself, holding it as an anchor. He never had the time to indulge, nor explore his individuality. He became the father-the so-called man of the house!
Gaumbi-the man whose only option was to stay strong, level-headed and dedicate himself to his family ā¤ļø

Wah š
This scene is really special to me.
On a random day, I was scrolling through Instagram and the reel of this scene showed up in my feed. Kanwar was a familiar face as I've seen some glimpses of his previous shows like Hum Hai Na and Ek Aastha Aise Bhi. Gave it a view and Shivi had me instantly. It was the reel of this kitchen scene posted in Kanwar's insta page.
Thereafter, I surfed further and soon caught the wedding promo. It was after that I got to know that Pandya Store is the remake of "Swanthanam" the show my mother watch religiously. š¤£
The rest is history.
Now, I'm gushing over Shivi and am wide awake at night like an ullu. š
Good morning, š¤
You aren't the only Ullu š
Honestly, I did start watching PS from the beginning bit didn't participate in the forum much. And, then rest was history š¤£
Good morning everyoneš¤
Best way to start the morning...by reading so much nice things about Mera Devšš

Same š I prefer scenes that are open to interpretation. Cheesy romance turns me off super quick, especially when it comes to couples who have a story like ShiViās. It just doesnāt work for them.
I also enjoy rewatching the old scenes! Looking forward to more posts from you! They add so much to my experience of rewatching those moments again š¤
Rewatching old scenes is therapeutic and brings joy to my heart. PS may not be the perfect show but easily comes across as a different flavour from rest of the shows. š¤

Yeh toh khor partiality hui na mere saath ?
Main toh hamare parivaar keliye US se aaya hua job tak tukraa diya. Par Shiva? Woh khudka transport business shuru kar raha hai.
Shiva ne yeh acha nahi kiya Gaumbi..
