Imlie did indeed suppress her emotions for him for a multitude of reasons....guilt, insecurity etc....woh baat aur hai that she always kept expressing her love for him in many other ways even if she didn't give him the actual words😆.....so he knew what she felt for him but felt frustrated that she wouldn't accept it when he asked her.....lol and she frustrated us right along with frustrating him too😆.

It was a sweet touch to make her give him the words in English.....it kinda underscored the evolution it took to get her to this point.

Which is exactly why it never felt like a necessity to have her say it loud.. caz it was a given in the many other ways as you said..and you know how fond I am of that unkahi.. that just gets me so much more then saying it a milestone and getting it out of the way .. somehow it always brings things down and feels forced for the most part but kudos to them for doing it here in such a different way that yes it was for "demands" but they made it rise above the pandering and kept the actual essence alive and made it special and worth savoring.. it just is so much deeper for me when people understand the feelings connect on such visceral level and let things be unsaid...it just shows a whole different equation. Loud it not it was given long agoooo

It is scenes like this or moments like this where thy get things so right that give one patience a little bit more ..

Btw keep those gifs coming 😉

Ahh bless these 2 .. if not for the beautiful way they are being carried forward I would have gone long ago.

@bold: LOL haan wohi toh.....there is a lot of nuance in their scenes abhi bhi but it feels lost somewhere cuz of the long gaps we get between good scenes nowadays toh memory fade hone lagti hai thodi on the parallels😆

Cuz I'm vaguely remembering ki woh chai date waale time pe I used to think Imlie holds back from admitting her feelings to him also cuz she wanted to keep him at bay😆.....cuz it used to seem like she knows the moment she admits her feelings to him, then nothing will stop him from leaving everything for her.....toh woh Malini waale guilt ki wajah se she was lying to him so that he won't break things off with Malini....she actually used to think if she doesn't tell him she loves him, yeh ghar basaa lega Malini ke saath😆

Well, Adi shot that fantasy down pretty quickly soon after this too😆.....basically if we look at it from a higher level beyond all the Didi psychoticness we were subjected to along the way, Adi kept doing what seemed right to him and ultimately by telling Malini the truth and the divorce being in motion, he removed a lot of the suppression elements from Imlie's mind....lol less things for her to use as an excuse to hold herself back from the truth of her feelings....

See it's not like she didn't admit to herself that she loved him.....lol and apne Amma/Dadda ko bhi admit kar liya tha.....bas Adi ko bolne se hold back kar rahi thi....again, mainly cuz of the Malini guilt....so for her to manage to move past that in this scene was deffo a major win for their journey😆.

awwww anika wala

I have so much love for this..it is so respectful with duniya jahan ka pyaar samaya in it and so alag from the rest... also thansk to these 2 for not making it cringe and doing it so beautifully caz it can turn rather unbearable to hear ..

I am caught at the surprise and joy they both felt when the other one said it with such haq hahah look at Mr Tripathi being all ears ek dum seedha hoke yeah go on look and same with imelia ka huh kya bola and smile and giving the look.. my precious children.

It is moments like these that highlight even more how alike they actually are and how they are made for each other with how they react so similarly to things .. it is so amazing to see them.being same same but different and still managing to challenge each other to inspire to show the different pov'a too when they can be almost carbon copies of each other too in moments like this..it is actually such a different dynamic and I kinda find hard to explain it caz there is never a one way to explain it 😆

I don't think you understand how it was for those of us watching in real time to process how fast that epi moved😆.....so there was just a LOT to digest that day and yes, on first watch it felt rushed to me.....but over time I started to see the 0 or 100 pattern of both Adi as well as the writers so adjusted my expectations accordingly *shrugs*😆. Back then toh yeh bhi clear nahin tha if Adi even realized his love in that alter ego scene😆.....we didn't know what to make of him even admitting PASAND😆. Woh toh baad mein jaakar clear hua when he admitted it in the hut scene. They were making Adi oscillate in confusion for a bit even after the alter ego scene.

As for Imlie....I don't remember which thread I mentioned this point about her wanting understanding from Adi.....aap itne expert ho gaye ho on my old threads toh citations bhi de diya kijiye ab😆.....but I think I said all this before they flipped her character with the random dhokebaaz sidetrack.....uske baad se I'm not really sure how exactly they want to address insecurity or understanding between Adi-Imlie *shrugs*😆

I just liked how her ILU came about in general.....this was in sync with the original Imlie...who's loved him for a long time but is now only now beginning to unburden herself from the guilt a bit and accept the truth of her love for him beyond just the suhaag and pati labels.

Arre madam hum aapke reviews ke bade kayal hai aur aapke writing ke bade fan ban gaye ji, isiliye aapke threads mein aap hi ko quote karte hai. Waise I am not the only one, Sandy the other suggested we make a special thread mentioning our favourites of your review threads. Will surely ask her to do that, so that citations becomes easier for us fans😆.

I have been lucky to have joined this party quite late, as it gives me the opportunity to go through the episodes again while referencing your reviews. Main expert toh nahi bani, just recently I have reached the PD wale episodes on a re-watch while reading the threads, so was able to cite your lines to say what I couldn't say then. Adi ka 0 ya 100 wala phase was easier for me to digest as I watched the episodes on a binge and was able to see the pattern quite easily. Also I can understand that how jarring it must have been for someone who has seen him go from Moon jaap to suddenly holding her hand and saying he will miss her, to seeing his alter ego saying he likes her. That would have been a lot to digest without any build up.

Ironically I read that line about understanding just a few days back after the ILU episode and that really stuck to me coz weirdly that made sense only now during her confession. It was also visible in her expressions when he was telling her in her language how he wants to see her fly that she really was seeing him in a new light. Jo BS use har baar daanta tha and always behaved like the elder in the relationship, when he came down to communicate with her in a language foreign to him, she felt that partnership vibe and the opening of her mann ka pinjra to fly towards him by saying what she truly feels for him in the language that is foreign for her but has a special connect for her to her Babusaheb, as after all, this started with the first time he corrected her Pegasarus.

Lovely edits.

Interesting post. Great responses by all.

Definitely, they have come along way in terms of building their relationship & one thing definitely I loved in their dynamics is how har ek cheez ka waqt hota h.

Imlie ne khud aake bola that she loves him and that too, twice without any jhijhak. I mean, letting the individual learn to evolve with patience & happiness, no fear. Just very clear & organic. Same for Adi post the burial scene. That confession was enacted so well!

+1 on bold. Usually these confession scenes are built up so much and then once done just feels like a check box is ticked. It just feels really empty. I remember how some were worried about the reasoning behind the ILU if it was because of him agreeing to delay the divorce or because of the FLAMES game. But I really loved that they gave us a beautiful base and reasoning for the ILU coming when it did. The reasoning was just for the two of them without any outside person or reason for that confession. It had gratitude, pride, hope, strength and most of all pure love in the way to was confessed and that was something to be treasured for the both of them and us as viewers.

LOL no, you're STILL not getting why it was ACTUALLY jarring😆....it was not about him going from Moon jaap to grabbing Imlie's hand.....no, not at all. He was already in transition mode from the moment Imlie left him him in the bus....so that was not the issue.

Sandy has already explained in the post above why it was actually jarring....so I'm not going to repeat myself😆.....they messed up the build up on that I still feel....from the snake bite, to Adi almost dying, to the rush to get her to her exams, then suddenly grabbing her hand on the bridge, to an alter ego scene and a dance in his imagination....lol it was the speed of all these events....not any Moon jaap thing.....it's only on watching those scenes in isolation that it all works out.

Arre aap kahaan jaa rahe hai. Hum aapko kahin jaane hi nahi denge. Aapko tag kar karke pareshan kar karke waapas yahi layenge😆. Aap aur AY ke comments and reviews ke bina Adilie wale achche episodes badhoore lagte hai. That was why even last week we were so worried that both AY and your threads were missing after such a good episodes. We were like aap theek ho na. Waise I ret hope bith you guys are better, coz I feel next week the makers may give enough fodder for more reviews from AY and you.

@bold: Aww loved that....yes indeed, "har cheez ka ek sahi waqt hota hai"....everything happens in its own good time....that is how things are progressing with Adi-Imlie too 😊
