Why did Kajol reject Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam?

SLB said in an interview that he thought of two three actresses for the role but only went to Kajol but she rejected him. Only then he thought of casting a new actress Aishwarya for the role.

Kajol rejected Dil To Pagal Hai, Mohabbatein, Veer Zaara for roles were not very powerful but why did she reject Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam? This is an iconic classic film better than her DDLJ, KKHH.

Whatever maybe the reason, I am glad Kajol didn't do the film.

Aish looked out of this world in HDDCS and made the film/character iconic (despite its OTT storyline and acting.)

I just can't imagine Kajol or any other actress dancing on "Nimboda" or "Dholi Taro". These songs are iconic and have influenced and an entire generation of girls😆, so I wouldn't want to change a thing about them.👍🏼

Kajol-Salman chemistry was good in PKTDK, but Aish-Salman's chemistry was off the charts.

I’m glad she didn’t do it. Aishwarya looked like a dream as Nandini and her chemistry with Salman was lit 🔥

coz i just imagined her doing nimoda nimoda and it is not pretty..she has 0 grace/dancing skills to ever pull off nandani which Aish did so beautifully and this is coming from someone who is not a fan of Aish but gotta give where its due
