Why did Kajol reject Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam? - Page 4

I'm pretty sure Kajol would have rocked it too. It would have been Kajol's Nandini and SLB would have played on her strengths.

I agree. If Kajol had done it, then it would've turned out to be a completely different film and not the film we remember. Maybe the focus would've been more on post-marriage conflicts and less on dance & Nandini's pre-marriage shenanigans. Who knows?

And it doesn't make Kajol a bad actress, and neither does doing Hum Dil makes Aishwarya the best actress in the world.

It's just the way HDDCS was created and designed it suited Aish the most and she OWNED the film. Therefore no other actress could've done what Aish did in HDDCS.
