Hypocrisy thy name is Virat Chavan!

I absolutely hate his way of acting convenience ki husband of Sai & his selectivism. If he excersied his so-called right of husband on Sai when she was about to leave but where does his "I'm your husband" rant go whenever Sai is demeaned day & night right infront of his eyes? Or getting hurt over Sai giving away her necklace because she chose her mental peace over that. You can't be a husband only as per your whims & fancies.

Secondly, who's he to stop or question Sai from being friendly with any of her guy friend or any random man. On top of it he's gonna abuse & sl*tshame and assassinate her character in upcoming track just after seeing her talk with her college friend in their bedroom although 6ft. distance. It's ridiculous someone with a questionable character himself calling a dignified woman like Sai a characterless. To hell with such so-called jealousy. It's his chauvinism & patriarchal mindset. If he can behave so frank and stand next to his ex cum bhabhi lover Pakhi with close proximity day in day out, despite both knowing Pakhi's intention, even before that he didn't draw that personal space even when Sai had known about their past history, even after that he used to run after her to pacify her or previously her forced attempt of feeding him, him putting ice cubes on her hand & healing it in presence of Sai. Plus it's still a deal marriage, for Sai, Virat hasn't fully come out clear & clean either in the whole matter.

Sadly virat told sai vaada is not important to him still she dint accepted. Sai herself wanted to know whether virat gets effected or not she has challenged him .

Absolutely! These thoughts crossed my mind as well. Echo everything you’ve articulated here. He’s a misogynist. It’s infuriating. He was allowed to have his sister in law in his heart because his kink is incest but his teenage wife isn’t even allowed to talk to boys? And what is this zimmedari he’s talking about? Where was this concern when he ousted her in the middle of the night knowing well Jagtap is present in GC (thanks to his incompetency as a police officer).

Sai is not dependant on him anymore so there’s no zimmedari. He stopped her from leaving as a husband, not a father figure cum abuser. He better start acting like a husband if he expects reciprocation. And clear the “pati nahi ban paunga, dil aur zindagi mein koi aur..” bs he fed her before he developed feelings for her. And most importantly, let her decide if she wants to be with him / have feelings for him. He cannot exert restriction / force on her like this. It’s not cute/romantic. Specially when his own morals are questionable. Virat and his ex pyaari cheez, Pakhi are the flag-bearers of misogyny in that hell-house.

It isn't this black and white. Your first point - he doesn't stand up for the daily taunts because he's normalised to them. He has seen his Aai, Karishma and even Sonali compromise with it and according to him it's normal. We can't blame him, he grew up with the mentality not to question the golden trio and act according to them. Not saying it's right but it's very human and doesn't make him a bad human. Moreover he knows Sai herself can deal with the daily taunts - he's proud of her and has told her even that she has his back. He does stand up for Sai when it's necessary, but in his own style. Not making a scene out of it - to the point. If he'd blast at them, it would create an unnecessary scene whereas he prefers handling it with tact, he has an unconfrontentional nature. Moreover we do see a slow but steady progression in the way he stands up to them, and it will continue. It takes time to change as a person, usually someone else will change thou perspective and that is what's happening. Virat is learning a thing or two from Sai, much realistic!

Your second point, Sai was also much jealous and so is Virat. Virat is much more in love with her than Sai is with him and this affects how they react. Sai is right now where Virat was a few months back. Virat is extremely insecure, this is the right moment to deal with their insecurities and emotions. Lets not jump to conclusions, we're not sure how they'll handle it, whether Virat actually will raise questions on her character. It won't affect him having her a male friend or not once they actually share a bond of trust, love and mutual understanding. There's still lots of time to reach that point. All this is new to him, he is discovering it and he'll learn with time and so will Sai. It's all very real! Sai is much younger than him and so he feels that he has some kind of liberty to guide her, to be sterner with her than he his with his ghar ke bade - very much real too. He did point out to Pakhi that he will never emotionally blackmail Sai and force his emotions on Sai like she does because they respect each other. And he won't. There is some development in their relation, he first wants to be sure of her feelings before telling about his own.

Won't comment on what Virat will say or do in the next episodes because we never know what the writers want but about the jealousy I will say both SaiRat are hypocrites. They both will say there is no relationship and then act pati patni. In fact Sai is doing it more than him nowadays. If Virat has no right to stop Sai then what right has Sai to question Virat ?

True, the thing is it started as a deal, but both have moved on from there. Virat has already realised this, Sai has started realising it but not to what extent. Both of them will keep exerting their pati-patni haq, they say it each damn episode 😆

Exactly. The number of time she questioned Virat about his vaada and feelings, even called him a khilona. If this is not insulting than what is it ? And now she has fallen for that same khilona ? So why see hypocrisy only in Virat. Why even bother if she actually considered this as a deal mariage ?

TBH if we start seeing it like this we will never enjoy the show nor SaiRat. This Virat vs Sai spoils the beauty of it. The way I am questioning Sai now I never did before because I looked the beauty of a girl who can't stop herself from getting attracted to her deal wala pati. Had I started to see it in a negative way, I don't thing I could have appreciated them.

Both of them are growing, their relation is growing and there will be a time when all that's left will be mutual understanding, respect and love! It's new for both of them!

Why is Virat blamed even for the supposed future events that were not aired yet? We don’t know how they chose to show that specially the charecter questioning ones. Let the episodes air and then we can decide whether Virat did wrong or not.

Virat did ask Sai to tell about the saree drama that happened after he left. Sai chose to put an end to that by not informing him. A to Z. Still Viru apologised to the gang taking all the blame on himself. What more is expected from him? He answered his father and clearly showed his annoyance for What Sai did with the gift he brought. Ofcourse Sai wanted mental peace and she chose it over keeping the gift. Not going towards that action of her and discuss since the post is about Virat and not about Sai and I dislike to convert everything as Virat verses Sai. It is not so. They fight they argue but end of the day they keep sticking to each other and I have no problem since it is their life. Who are we to judge?

Coming to Virat I strongly oppose criticism based on future episodes. That is my point. As far as the current track is concerned Virat did nothing wrong.

I also reiterate Neil never faltered in any scene ever. It is a treat to watch him perform with the subtleties and naunces that only an accomplished and natural actor can bring about with his expressions. Today his scene with Bhavani to get the pendant back and the way he frowned on seeing his elders snatch away the pendant and his conversation with Sunny proved yet again why he is the best. ( since I don’t want to say this in SM thread saying it here after reading a comment about his performance.)

So I disagree with the points presented in the post. I hope I made my stand clear.

About the precap Of jealousy let the full episode air on Monday. Till then we can’t say whether he is purely concerned or jealous in love.
