Now this was a small detail but a very good indication of which house Pallavi belongs to. It wouldn’t have mattered if Aayi prepared the thaali but now with Mandar track coming, I was glad that Raghav insisted that she belongs here and the thaali for the pooja goes from here and that too got prepared by him.

Also, he read all the details about the ritual kitne dhyaan se, to immediately remember! Lovely moment❤️

I was wondering, the implication of having a festival so heavily focused on tying them as husband and wife (and the only festival focused on till date) happen right before Mandaar reappearing. Interesting point on the thaali not coming from the Deshmukhs. Vijay ke tamaashe ka ek faayda.

Yeah, I understood the significance of vatsavitri. Much like Raghav has been referring to his inlaws as 'Marathi MIL' and 'Marathi FIL', I've been calling it 'Marathi karwachauth' 🤣

I understand it's not as super religious as a satyanarayan pooja would be, but it's still a day involving worship and devotion, and it's easy to see sanskaar overload in such days. But the way they played it, with a little bit of romance and flirtiness, it felt a lot truer to me as how a newly married, young couple would behave.

I'll talk in reference to karwachauth only, for example, but the way I've always seen it around me, there's this underlying, subtle romance to the day that just adds to the auspicious nature, especially for new couples- going on a date after the breaking of fasts, dressing to impress, warm hugs, cute gifts etc. But whenever I've seen it on TV and in movies, it's so overly sanskaar-centric, tears flowing, dramatic dialogues about pair choona and ashirwaad lena, and aadha time to bechari FL ko behosh kar dete hain to justify the hugs and all. It doesn't resonate at all with the ritual I've seen all my life, which honestly is so much more fun and playful. I liked how..normal, I guess...it was played today. It's a lot cuter to me like this.

So I'm glad Pallavi felt gorgeous, because she looked it, and I'm glad it was that dressed-to-kill thing that floored Raghav, because why shouldn't it? They're getting those giddy newlywed feels and I loved each second of that.

(I'm still not finding the right words tbh, but I think you'll get me 😅)

@bold- that's the overall mood around karwachauth/teej and vat savitri. Its a puja but its also romantic how husband and wives fast for each other, pray for their long lives and celebrate their togetherness..It's our desi take on Valentine's, if you will😆 we added the fast angle because we are a sanskari lot 🤣 In movies, the ones I remember is ofcourse DDLJ when Simran fasts for Raj.. It was all romantic, flirty and cuteness overload..them sharing the thaal remember? Even the famous song ''chand chhupa badal me'' from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was was picturised on Sameer and Nandini during the KarwaChauth festivities.. There is a religious angle to it ofcourse, which we may get to see on Monday unless some drama happens..But yesterday was not about that aspect of VatSavitri..It was about Raghav khoying hosh and hawaz, seeing his wife for the first time like that, literally dressed to kill..

I totally got you! 😆

I feel like that's something shows would sometimes shy away from? Like a pooja is a sanskaari day, all about 'pure thoughts' and therefore not intended to be about this kind of flirtation. You may have the ML awestruck, but it'll be more of an 'oof, she's so sanskaari and a perfect bhartiya naari' kind of attraction, rather than a 'holy shit my wife is gorgeous' attraction, and I'm glad they played it the way they did. Felt a lot more realistic to me, because I doubt we compartmentalise our thoughts that much in real life.

I really am not able to find the right words for my thoughts here, so I hope my gist comes across.

I know exactly what you mean. She started walking down the stairs casually but when she noticed him, there were sparks going off from both sides.

The pooja itself may be sanskaari but the emotion behind doing something for that special person, including her dressing up for him, in the clothes he bought and him preparing the thaali to make sure she didn't feel like anything was missing from her traditions and expectations, it was all so well done. I loved how it not just showed his (and Amma's) acceptance and respect of her culture but also the fact that being a Telegu, Raghav was mesmerized seeing her in Marathi style, that this look didn't feel foreign to him but more endearing, more apni. She was the manifestation of the one thing, the one source of happiness that is entirely his own.

I think some of it plays into how he feels after hearing Ved threaten to harm her, that visual of her in all her finery must have been imprinted on his head. Also, the significance of the red to replace the white he promised would never reenter her life and the sign of vitality all round, was really prominent in that scene.

I don't know if I'm saying all this the right way, either. Hope you get what I'm trying to say. 😆

They looked elegant and understated, rich and graceful- truly a royal couple. And I loved that the outfits weren't the same color, but matched- the vibes went together perfectly. They just fit with each other. They looked like they could walk into some big, crowded, important party or event dressed exactly like they were, and all eyes would have been on them.

Uff yes! The styling has improved and hope they keep working on it, especially for Shivangi. The hues they chose were just perfect.

They are a power couple but also very much a unit in general, whether they realize it or not.

You found my missing words!!! Yes, exactly, this is what I've been trying and sturggling to say. These festivals are supposed to be as romantic as they are auspicious- now even if they take the sanskaar angle on Monday, they've already given me the flirty and fun angle to it, so I'll be happy to see it.

I've never seen DDLJ or HDDCS, btw- seen bits and pieces, but never the whole movie :P Can you believe it?? But yes, I know the flirtiness in those scenes, and that's been sorely missing from our screens in the last many years, with an unbalanced focus on only the pooja-paath aspect of it, which honestly does injustice to what's otherwise such a fun day for many couples.

I'm also glad Pallavi is doing it with other women, and not in their house (all thanks to Vijay, lol). The community and sisterhood aspect of observing these rituals together is also so significant.

I tried not to make my post into a Shivangi appreciation post but she didn't really leave me a choice yesterday. She was phenomenal yesterday.. I said it before too in her AT, the grace and ability to express through her eyes and body language must come from her classical Indian dance background. The scene where she is unsure how to start the conversation about bedroom sharing, loved how she worked her way through, starting from Amma suggested and as Raghav kept countering her reasons,or should I say Amma's reasons according to her, she finally said what was on her mind the whole time. When Raghav suggested they share the same bed, that's when it hit her. This would be the first time for her, sharing a bed with someone and the emotions clearly overwhelmed her..the switch was so nicely done by Shivangi.

At the risk of again, turning this into her appreciation post, I will say I absolutely loved her antics during the whole lingerie and the follow up sequence..the brave, unfazed face she put up to cover up for the shocking embarrasment she felt when he looked at her bra on the floor, was just too good.. "tera chehra" is playing on a constant loop for me eversince haha Raved enough about the morning scene.. so wont repeat myself..Im just gonna watch the episode again😃

As an actress who can do kickboxing as well as Kathak you can't tell when she becomes Pallavi. It's so subtle but she's really made her her own. I like how graceful she is, something you see in yesteryears' actresses, not so much nowadays with the gym-going ab crunching ones whose posture looks like a block without grace. No offence to those people but they lack the feminine charm, so when they try to portray it on screen it doesn't feel natural. Shivangi just has it and does a good job of not exaggerating that on screen or it would have been jarring.

I just knew Raghav's gonna give Pallavi the master bedroom. After all, he was threatened into giving it up using the might of the Indian legal system on the night of their wedding :P But jokes apart, of course he was going to give her the master. I’m really glad Jaya told Pallavi about shifting. As much as I’ve called her on interfering previously, this development needed an external trigger. Neither of them would have brought this up themselves.

Pallavi was just adorable in the entire sequence today, and rehashing this from her AT, but Shivangi was ab absolute masterclass in acting in today's episode. The classical dance background really shows with how she uses every single part of her body to emote, and every subtle movement, the way she carries herself, the things her eyes say- it's all deliberate, and she's goddamn perfect at it. How she played today awkward, conscious, confident, anxious, excited, overwhelmed- everything was absolutely spot on.

I loved the dialogues between RaghVi today! They had me and 🤣at the same time. I mean, they started with "tum apna samaan yahin rehne do" and Raghav's adorable and confused "kyun?" Such goofballs! The conversation was the most in character I've seen both of them in a while, and I'd been feeling a little disconnected from them both for the past few days. The connect came back fully today. I loved how Pallavi started with all the reasons they should share a room, and how he countered.

"Amma ne kaha" "Main samjhaata hai" "Staff baat karne laga hai, word will spread" "I don’t care"

It makes perfect sense- he didn't want her to fast just for the sake of social pressures and appearances, he'll never want her to sacrifice her personal comfort and privacy for the sake of 'log kya kahenge'. I also loved his reassurances, starting right from "you won't even notice me here" (LOL, as if).

Pallavi’s awkwardness comes out so clearly in tum bed pe so jaana main zameen pe so jaaungi. Issi ladki ne usse zameen pe shift karne ke liye mama mousi nautanki ki thi. I love how Raghav introduced the idea of sharing a bed in a humorous way here. Poor girl was so uncomfortable, the tension had to be broken. But when he realised it didn’t work, he switched tactics immediately and slipped into the super soft ‘kya hua’ Said the right things to reassure her, and then back to a joke. So lovely and natural!!

And finally, the song sequence. Hands down my favorite one in the show till date. Perfect song, it had just the right vibe. Loved the two stealing glances at each other. Shivangi’s body language…I don’t have the words to appropriately praise her. The files.. how he silently indicated towards them to tell her what he was doing.

The blue room, and Pallavi fitting right in with her blue nightgown. The most aesthetically pleasing sequence I’ve seen in this show.

Sometimes, I find watching this show a little uncomfortable, because these little moments feel so intimate, I feel voyeuristic and intrusive, witnessing them. Today was definitely one such day.

Loved this post, especially the part in @bold.

I am glad the writers didn't overdo the bed sharing conversation and both Sai and Shivangi nailed it. For two actors who aren't married, they sure managed to convince us as a married a couple on screen. Raghav is the same person who made fun of her for being so chui mui during the blouse hook scene, but to see him show her respect and understand immediately what was troubling her, plus knowing exactly how to put her fears to rest was so adorable, I keep watching that scene again and again. I also loved that he didn't miss a chance to gently chide her for even suggesting she sleep on the floor because that would be illogical in RR's mind.

Also, I love how Sai's voice gets a bit deeper whenever he says Kya hua like he did during the mirchi eating scene. I am glad Shivangi's getting a chance to show her talent too, and with the large spaces in RR mansion, you can feel they have more scope for creativity to set up interesting scenes.

The aesthetics were truly outstanding in this episode. At first I thought I felt that way because we'd missed the mansion but I reassessed it and realized that it was indeed a standout episode. Probably one of my favorites. I know what you mean about feeling intrusive but I think it's this very aspect that makes these two feel so real to us, and their dynamics so natural, because we see a couple behave the way they would in private, as opposed to putting on a show for outsiders.

At least my question on the location of the dressing room was answered today. I am still hoping for a house tour.

She is trained in Kathak and pole dancing both of which require grace and flexibility. The first dance sequence she had during Manasi's wedding, chhalka chhalka re, is when it struck me that she must be a trained dancer and turned out she is.. and most Indian dance forms, be it Kathak, bharatnayam, Odissi etc, heavily rely on facial expressions besides grace..something you see in yesteryear actresses like Madhubala, Vaijanthimala..even Rekha, Sridevi and ofcourse Madhuri Dixit.. these actresses were all trained in some or the other form of Indian classical dance forms that is part of the reason they were so good with expression and so graceful onscreen..Shivangi sure reminds of those veterans though she is very young..hope she keeps working hard and does justice to her talent.

Pallavi with her knowing look and confidence, where she knew exactly what an impact she's had right when she first caught his glance at her, and Raghav not denying it for once. And with ‘main har cheez bolta nahi’- the way he stepped closer, the slight smile, the soft eyes, prolonged eye contact.... damn. At least we now know boy's got some game. He can certainly turn up the charm when he wants to. Even ‘selfie bhi le lena’ was so flirty. Like, Amma saying, mujhe pooja ko dekhna hai, and hubby saying, 'mujhe tumhe dekhna hai'. And the cute eyes they made at each other after. Hayye, maar daala aaj in dono ne ❤️

Yes, they are flirting. I thought of you when watching that scene again, that you wanted to see this exactly.

Ab aap ke mithai baatne ka waqt hai!!

Raghav doesn't seem like the kind who would marry his sister off to someone who does this to her.
