What I understood from this chapter was that nothing happened to Pallavi when Raghav was shot. It only happened during this Kolhapur trip they are heading to. Pallavi tries to pull Raghav out of his venomous guilt and nearly succeeds in doing so ; when the car loses its balance. And as Keechu said, Raghav saves Pallavi and himself by a hair's breadth ; pushing themselves out of the car and that's when The Great Ved makes his entry.

It's possible that due to Ved's actions, Pallavi falls of the cliff and Raghav finds himself in the endless spiral of guilt and contempt, again.
