😄 just was watching the scene again. You know both of them were absolutely spot on their facial expressions. He was having that slight smile at first and then when her lingerie fell, she gave him a second of flustered look and he was looking at her reactions. The way she showed that slight defiance there as if so what, and he immediately caught her cue that he was staring and looked down awkwardly. Shivangi really nailed it today with these small expressions and Sai gave her the equal support. These two don’t need dialogues, their eyes and facial expressions are brilliant enough for that subtle romance.

God, I hope they don't take that route. The show's already been so casual with sexual offenses, be it Anjali making that MMS of Raghav's, Kirti's pictures being clicked and leaked, Pallavi's character assassination by Raghav, Rocky taking compromising pictures of the salesgirl. Already hadd se zyaada kar chuke hain, I really don't want to add rape (even a failed attempt) to the list.

Even I hope they don’t take this route. This show has been mostly unique and I don’t want to see them take this pathetic route to bring Sunny into RR mansion.. He does have some plans up his sleeves and I hope Pallavi helps her out soon. I’m really getting angry with Kirti’s character. Whatever love it is, where is her self respect? Only yesterday Sunny was shouting at her saying he can get anyone and this girl is apologising to him and fasting for him as well. No wonder he treats her as a doormat. She is giving him the full rights to do that 😡

What is the Telegu custom? Curious to know.

We get the layout but why they are confusing us with upstairs or downstairs is beyond me. Or maybe he was trying to tell her he'd be downstairs and not in the study?

Telugu people dont do rice pot girane wala custom we dont touch rice with leg

tika lagathe waqth hum haath nahi rakthe sar pe

Tika bhi bindhi ke upar nshi neeche lagathe hai

Sarpar flowers nahi akshatha(haldi mixed chawal) daalte hai

Aur teeke main akshath nahi lagate

Instead aarathi ke baadh behen raasta rokhti hai aur bride and groom ek dusre ke naam bathate hai

like main aur mere pathi raaghav aaye hai main aur meri pathni pallavi aaye hai aur groom nekh dethe hai behan ko

This would have included keerthi in that scene and skd and ghamadi rao bolke fun bhi laa sakthe the

Its ok they must have not known this cutoms as sai is only telugu guy all are north indians and sai is not married so he also sèems dont know customs

I feel like that's something shows would sometimes shy away from? Like a pooja is a sanskaari day, all about 'pure thoughts' and therefore not intended to be about this kind of flirtation. You may have the ML awestruck, but it'll be more of an 'oof, she's so sanskaari and a perfect bhartiya naari' kind of attraction, rather than a 'holy shit my wife is gorgeous' attraction, and I'm glad they played it the way they did. Felt a lot more realistic to me, because I doubt we compartmentalise our thoughts that much in real life.

I really am not able to find the right words for my thoughts here, so I hope my gist comes across.

I think you put it very aptly.and I'd like to add that it was an auspicious occasion of a puja but it was not a satya nayaran ki puja lol vat savitri is equivalent to karwa chauth and teej ki puja that women in many parts of India perform for their husbands..married women or suhagane as they are called deck up like they do on their wedding day(almost)..they do solah shringar, put henna on their hands, wear red saree/lehengas..its a huge deal as Im sure you know being a punjabi.. It was also extra special for Pallavi and Raghav because it was their first Vat Savitri together as a married couple...Pallavi mostly underplays her physical beauty, not consciously but because she is herself not aware of how gorgeous she is..She dressed up like she would for Vat Savitri but the sensuality, radiance and aura she has exuding, like some goddess, was after she saw Raghav look at her that way..the famous lines from dil to pagal hai ''jab wo mujhe dekhta hai, to mujhe lagta hai mein khubsoorat hu'' She felt khubsurat and that reflected on her demeanor..

What a lovely episode!

Of course, the mansion and Shivangi were the show stealers today

Right from the very first shot, panning to the exteriors of the mansion, I was so emotional. And hayye, those massive doors opening- couldn'y help but remember Raghav walking in at the end of episode 1, opening those doors into the large, lonely, empty house...and now he's walking in proudly with his family. And they played the OG title track, I was so happy!! I'm so done with the random new versions, and it also works with the callback, since the same track played in that first episode scene. Anyway, back to this set- it was like aankhon ko sukoon mila. Felt like it was a homecoming for us all.

Want to talk a bit about the Deshmukhs! I have to say, I burst out laughing when Mansi and Amrutha were talking about being more comfortable apne ghar mein. Jaise kaand Janakamma ke ghar mein sab kar ke aaye hain, aur comfortable hote to pata nahi kya karte 🤣

Vijay Deshmukh, what a man....👏👏 (sarcastic, btw- if it wasn't obvious) The difference between him and Raghav, as far as being a partner goes, was so very evident today. We know that culturally, this is an important day for married women. On one hand, Vijay's so consumed by his ego, he has no value for his wife at all. She's going through a difficult fast, and he's faking sickness and adding to Sharda's burden for the day, just for kicks. Raghav, conversely, is not only doing everything he can to make the day special for her, he's also fasting for her. I'm glad VIjay's victory here was so hollow- he couldn't stop Sharda from meeting Pallavi. If Sharda couldn't go, Pallavi came over.

I'm a bit confused though- didn't Raghav only insist that the pooja happen at RR Mansion for safety, and insist quite firmly that none of the women step out for a few days? I'm surprised he conceded so easily, such that there wasn't even a conversation, nor any discussion about Pallavi taking security. Kirti also went off to Sunny's quite casually...

Raghav apni biwi ki beauty dekh kar sab bhool bhool gaya 😆 I think maybe he thought since it was with D family she is safe. Kirti is anyway let loose. Don’t know what is going to happen to that girl.

I completely agree about VD. I didn’t even want to talk about him today. He is behaving like a child who has lost his toy, otherwise who does such stupid antics just to stop his wife. His ego is so high now that he has completely lost his basic senses.

I liked the small detail they put in through the pooja. Pallavi’s pooja thaali was going to be prepared by Aayi but Raghav was like ladies have to take their things from “their house”. Now this was a small detail but a very good indication of which house Pallavi belongs to. It wouldn’t have mattered if Aayi prepared the thaali but now with Mandar track coming, I was glad that Raghav insisted that she belongs here and the thaali for the pooja goes from here and that too got prepared by him.

Yes that was a nice touch.. I have seen a lot of husbands fast for their wives and I knew Raghav would too..but his participation in the rituals like this? preparing the thaal for her, making sure she has everything she needs for the puja, that is what I liked more because that I have not seen many men do.. He actually googled up everything the night before and made sure everything was ready when she came down... his participation was as much as hers..

He suggested her getting ready, and taking the thaal from their house, casually, but those are signs of him 1.) being territorial 2.) being particular about how rituals are followed..like their wedding..it was forced but he still followed all rituals..

Yeah, I understood the significance of vatsavitri. Much like Raghav has been referring to his inlaws as 'Marathi MIL' and 'Marathi FIL', I've been calling it 'Marathi karwachauth' 🤣

I understand it's not as super religious as a satyanarayan pooja would be, but it's still a day involving worship and devotion, and it's easy to see sanskaar overload in such days. But the way they played it, with a little bit of romance and flirtiness, it felt a lot truer to me as how a newly married, young couple would behave.

I'll talk in reference to karwachauth only, for example, but the way I've always seen it around me, there's this underlying, subtle romance to the day that just adds to the auspicious nature, especially for new couples- going on a date after the breaking of fasts, dressing to impress, warm hugs, cute gifts etc. But whenever I've seen it on TV and in movies, it's so overly sanskaar-centric, tears flowing, dramatic dialogues about pair choona and ashirwaad lena, and aadha time to bechari FL ko behosh kar dete hain to justify the hugs and all. It doesn't resonate at all with the ritual I've seen all my life, which honestly is so much more fun and playful. I liked how..normal, I guess...it was played today. It's a lot cuter to me like this.

So I'm glad Pallavi felt gorgeous, because she looked it, and I'm glad it was that dressed-to-kill thing that floored Raghav, because why shouldn't it? They're getting those giddy newlywed feels and I loved each second of that.

(I'm still not finding the right words tbh, but I think you'll get me 😅)

Oh, this sounds so adorable!! Could have been lovely to take this route. I guess they wanted to use rituals that would be familiar to northern audiences, but what a lost opportunity. They could have easily explained, because Pallavi won't know Telugu customs, so Jaya could have told her, and ussi bahaane audience ko bhi sikha deta.

Aapka post pad ke toh mere dimaag mein keeda pad gaya hai- "Main aur meri patni, Saari ka Dukaan" and "Main aur mera pati, Ghamandi Rao". Phir Amma class lagati dono bacchon ki 🤣

Aaj to Kirti ka bhi mood accha tha, she'd have played along!

Thanks for sharing, this was so interesting to read!

Absolutely agree with you. And which is why Mandar’s coming back isn’t pleasing at all. They can just show him in flashbacks and lead the story but I don’t want him to come back alive. Everything which Raghav has done till now for Pallavi has been according to the traditional norms and if Mandar comes back alive, she is his legal wife still and not Raghav’s wife. That’s going to be a huge blow for Pallavi.
