The last sentence is sad. In fact forms a regular conversation topic at home. I don't understand men don't get marked. Why only women? It seems like bondage. To me. Though some people wear by choice and like to wear. To me it is bondage. Tieing literally by using the magalsutra. Literally claiming ownership my marking property. Though to each their own.
In India yes… but I personally don’t wear mangalsutra and nothing to symbolise my marriage( we are not in India) my husband is absolutely fine with that … but unfortunately in India women once married are expected to be seen in a particular way

But i also want to see her in sarees at home
💯 agree… Ss should be able to niharofy his wifey in a saree as well which will work to our advantage as well…

Ss (kv) can even romance a tree😀 but the problem is hamein feels dene ke liye haath kahan rakhega if it was a normal patiala
I’m not saying sarees whenever she is home… sometimes
Shaurya romanced Anokhi in "Tu Zaroori" and she was in a salwar suit. I don't know if skin exposure is the requirement.
Have you watched bulbul movie. In that they stated the reason for rings on feet. The symbolism is that the rings hold women's feet to ground so that they can't fly after marriage. I don't know if they said it for the movie or if it is true. But if it is true then nothing left to say.
Hahaa...no I have not seen the movie. And that sounds sooo bullshit to even have as a reason. I'm Mallu and we don't wear toe rings so I'm not really sure of the reasoning.

@bold: It's so sad. All my cousins wear sindoor(almost on their forehead as if to show off). And really display their mangalsutra. Mind you, most have husbands that live out of state or country for their jobs so maybe it's a way to hold on. I don't ever mind if people do it for their satisfaction, but I don't like when they shame others for not doing it. I get yelled at by aunts when I'm in Kerala and don't wear anything on my maang or neck.

Ok. But the movie is a serious one. Not the one that glorifies these things but shows the issues that women face. It's a strong feminist movie. One of my fav's.
Yess i want shaurya to drool over her saree looks and should get distracted when his biwi is around.
Biwi se yaad aaya they ll be living in that big room

I agree but romancing in a saree is def different to other dresses..
