Exactly. If she wears sarees and stuff. Gonna be very weird. I mean who attends college in that. If someone wants to they can but it's hard. Secondly I want her to continue working in canteen. Plz. Small attempt to be self dependent. It should not be lost. Though itna dikhane ka time nhi milega. They have to capture house drama so canteen drama I think hoga nhi. Still... I can imagine. In my FF. Sabbarwals have accepted her. She and Shaurya are dating but she does canteen job. So maine toh FF ke sahare icha puri kar di. Ab serial mein hoga toh maza aa jaye.

Diversion but yeh thought ab kaunse page pe dalun. Dimag kharab nhi karna tha. Yahin dal diya.

🤣

Deba is also short, so sarees would not suit her for college.

I think her normal look fits the character best. I don't even think she needs mangalsutra and sindoor, but ITV and the Sabherwals will not let her get away with that. A married woman needs to be marked with something.

Sarees definitely not for college but when she is with her ps at home I would definitely want to see her in sarees just for romance..

the problem is they should choose the right type of saree which fits her figure and not anything and every thing

Save the sarees for Sabherwal parties, like they do with Kanchan.

Shaurya has no problem romancing his girl in whatever outfit she wears!

The last sentence is sad. In fact forms a regular conversation topic at home. I don't understand men don't get marked. Why only women? It seems like bondage. To me. Though some people wear by choice and like to wear. To me it is bondage. Tieing literally by using the magalsutra. Literally claiming ownership my marking property. Though to each their own.

Women have been brainwashed into accepting it and then also imposing it on other women in society. I've only worn sindoor/mangalsutra to temples and other weddings, otherwise I wear my wedding ring(so does the hubby). There is no reason to send out any signals of marriage. My husband is the only trophy I need to show that I'm married 😉.

If I was in India, I'm sure I'd still hold the old thoughts. But like you said, sometimes it's really personal choice. Some really like to wear sindoor and mangalsutra and like the symbolism.

Have you watched bulbul movie. In that they stated the reason for rings on feet. The symbolism is that the rings hold women's feet to ground so that they can't fly after marriage. I don't know if they said it for the movie or if it is true. But if it is true then nothing left to say.
