Poetic justice: Is Maami truly unaffected by her deeds?

Doing my part for the chaskameter ratings 🤣🤣

Posting on Miss M.’s suggestion:

We all feel that Maami, being a true ITV vamp, never gets her comeuppance and manages to completely hoodwink her bad karma.

To tell the truth some days I wanted Aparichit levels of torture for Maami:

However, I decided to look at it from a different perspective(ITV rarely delves into this level of devolvement with its vamps)

Sometimes karma does not work as simply or directly.

In our custom(Tamilian), we have a ritual called Devasam where we pray for the peace of our ancestors. I once asked my husband about its significance- it is apparently to appease the spirits of 7 generations past. That how long the effect of your deeds last- you don’t carry the burden, but seven generations down. It is your kids, and their kids that bear the fruit of your deeds- both good and bad.

If you look at it, Prafulla had everything going for her at one point- 4 mills, money, her daughter was getting married. Yet she harbored ill intentions for not only Pandya house but also for Dhara and Hardik.

Now if you see her progression over the years

1. She never left an opportunity to specify that Dhara can never get married in this lifetime. Dhara is happily married but Anita is not. She is trying with all her might for 10 years but cannot get Anita married.

2. She used to taunt Dhara for scheming to seduce Gautam during Gautam-Anita wedding rituals. Today it is her daughter Anita that is desperately and pitifully trying to seduce a married Gautam.

3. She handed begging plates to Suman and Shiva- today she has no mills and has to take from Suman to buy gifts/clothes.

4. She and Anita faked a suicide plan to force Gautam to say yes to the marriage. 10 years later, Raavi was hanging from a fan on her marriage day.

5. She taunted Dhara about her having a son studying in Delhi while Dhara was childless. Ten years later she is bitterly bickering with Suman about daughters being better than sons, trying to use her nieces as her shield.

I can probably go on… she has pulled a lot of crap over the years…

But going through a hardship is one thing, but to see your child/children live through sorrow is a hell of its own.

Maami and Anita have always wished for Dhara to cry and have a terrible married life- now they have to see Raavi struggle through a tough married life for no fault of hers.

Karma is not called a b***h for no reason- her cruelty is very subtle, but the effect is haunting. At this point no one in Maami’s family has an ounce of peace or happiness.

What do you think? Do you remember any instances where Maami is poetically suffering for her wrong doings?

I commented on the EDT itself, but lovely post 👏 this is a great way of seeing how maami is already bearing the consequences of her actions, and will continue to. It doesn't affect her planning and plotting though, as a typical ITV vamp 🤪

I still want aparichit levels of torture for her 😆

Fantastic post!

I wanted to comment on the EDT itself but couldn't, but they say Karma is something you can't escape. Maami has been highly evil, so much so that she once even called Raavi an orphan spilling bile obnoxiously.

It's sad to see Raavi bearing the brunt of everything! You can escape the laws of the land, but you cannot hide from the divine intervention!

Lovely post! As much as I like watching doing comedy, I have openly declared my dislike for her in several EDTs. She will never change, always matlabi, wants to see only her gain. Her love for Anita and Raavi has always been conditional and sge cannot truly love anybody. It is always like what can I get from the other person. I don’t know what’s the reason for her to hate Pandya parivar so much inspite of their father helping her out so much and her constant one upmanship towards them.

I like all the points you stated which shows her current sufferings but the question is has she learnt anything from her mistakes? At this point I would say no,
The day Raavi and Anita say enough is enough and we don’t want anything to do with you is that day I will feel she might look back at what she did. Until then, whatever Karma she is experiencing, she knows how to put a spin on it and continue to be as evil as possible,

I am really hoping that Raavi leads Maami to the point where she is forced to reevaluate her attitude 🤞

Anita could have done that but she has completely lost the plot. But then, Anita’s moral compass was wonky to begin with.

Raavi knew right from wrong from the beginning. She can show Maami the mirror- but never had the need to before.

But I think makers will just kind of brush this under the rug, because they need some antagonist. Sab sudhar gaye then it is difficult to move the story forward

Bold- This is what I am worried about.

IMO, even Raavi’s words are not strong enough. She feels gratitude that Mami brought her home as a 10 day old baby and gave her a life to live. She could have easily asked for the kangans as her b’day gift, Mami giving it to her or mot is a different issue. But when she reprimands Mami, it is always about the fight with Shiva, never about the kangans. She very well knows what Mami did was wrong especially with the kangans but never says a word about it,

We’ll see how they take Mami’s character forward.
But one thing though after seeing what’s transpiring in this version, can’t thank my stars enough that I started watching Pandian Stores, first😆

Wow Sriya! Amazing post and analysis! ❤️

Karma does have a way of getting around and it believed that the next generation experiences backlash for what their ancestors do.

Also, she used to taunt Suman for being crippled, but now she constantly finds herself clutching her own back in pain 😆
