Hindi movies I think Raat was the first one that was legit scary. I remember sleeping with my hands on the neck afraid hands would come out of walls and the floor to grab me 🤣

I agree saw Raat as a kid with my cousins, we were all so scared that no one was willing to close the room window so we can open the aircon.

Have heard about this movie a lot but never got to see it 😆. And yes, the idea of children as ghosts do make me uncomfortable Especially their creepy laughter.

Me too seeing children as ghosts or doing evil things always creeps me out. Like the original movie "Omen".

Talking about ‘Omen’. I literally saw only one scene where the kid just keeps staring without even blinking his eye. For the longest time after that, I was so scared of the children and kids. 😆

Thanks to these horror flicks and their obsession with dolls, I get creeped out while staring at a doll for more than a few seconds

I don't find horror movies as scary. But sometimes the social dramas can be quite terrifying. Article 15 sent chills down my spine. Some people are so casual with their caste superiority and sexual violence.

Sairat was terrifying too the way it ends. A Death in the Gunj had an eerie feeling to it as to how oblivious a family is to a young family member's mental health struggles. Both Mardaani's had creepy villains. Love Sonia was a dark exploration of sex trafficking.

In older movies, Ashutosh Rana in Dushman and Sangharsh terrifies.

Ghosts and monsters aren't real, but these people walk amidst us.

I agree, ain't there no bigger monsters and demons than humans!! Movies like these you have mentioned, make us introspect, question our faith in the people around us, and hit us hard with the realisation that it's unbelievable and bizarre, to what extent can human beings harm other human beings without an iota of remorse!! I remember watching Dushman and Ashutosh's character, his actions creeped me the eff out, made me wonder that we are never safe anywhere, not even at our homes, and these things very much happen in real because there are scumbags like him out there at every nook and corner, I was kinda disturbed while watching Mardaani 2 also. To think that a teenage boy could commit such horrendous crimes is scary, omg that guy was a psycho, and everytime he was around a girl in that movie, it scared me!! After watching such movies and tv shows like "savdhan india" etc I think twice before trusting people, especially strangers, we live in a dangerous world 😵

Truer words were never spoken. The fact that sick fcuks like them look just like everyone else and easily go undetected is terrifying. Another one I recently watched on Prime was The Call ... it really triggered me in the beginning cuz I've been through the exact same scenario, except it was just a raccoon knocking over stuff outside the door. But the fear and terror while hiding under my bed was very much real while waiting for the 911 folks to arrive.😵

Actually ghosts or spirits do exist, my personal experience with them. My mom could see them and it happened once with me and my mom. We were in the car and were waiting for signal to turn green, it was nearly midnight. Then my mom saw a girl standing at the bus stop and tells me why there is a girl standing there at this hour. I looked and asked her where as I could not see, looked here and there. That's when she realised she was seeing a spirit/ghost.

Yes, we humans can be monsters and those evil spirits were once upon a time a human.

I strongly feel that if one dies before his actual death time, their spirits necessarily have to roam on earth. This is one of the reasons suicide is discouraged in all religions.
