I completely agree. It's like, apart from occasional missteps, I don't feel like I'm watching something made up and contrived. Every character feels like a full fledged person, and it feels like I'm watching real people respond to real situations. The characters drive the plot, rather than the plot driving characters.
There's been so much criticism for lack of RaghVi scenes but I don't mind it. Less screenspace is okay, I do want to know about everyone else. I just wish that the scenes we were getting for them were a bit more satisfying. I didn't like the lollipop vibes in today's scene, it feels like it was written just because a romantic RaghVi scene was overdue for audience retention.
The dynamics have been so organic that's why I have never felt that we were lacking in romantic scenes. You can't run a show only on romance and unfortunately a vocal segment on SM pushes for such scenes which starts driving the writing. This is how you end up with a scene like todays - lollipops and pandering that take you out of the show for those few moments. This is why the Ayi Pallavi scene was probably the best show today rather than the random romance. It's best to leave the storytelling to the writers and directors while we sit back and enjoy the show.
With a show like this one - real people and their actions/reactions to situations and each other, the romance too will be realistically portrayed. RaghVi have only known each other for a few months, the romance will take time. This is why the shower, pool, and hair scenes worked so well. They were reactions to a situation or were callbacks to previous scenes. That is good writing.
