Headed in the Direction of Complete Character Assassination?

As I read all of your guys' posts about the likely upcoming suicide track and what that results out of, a question keeps crossing my mind. Are we headed in the direction of the complete character assassination of Virat?

Based on what I understand, Sai takes this drastic step in response to the unwavering toxicity of CM and on top of that, apparently Virat once against questions her character as a result of instigation by Pakhi?? To be very honest, Sai attempting suicide under these circumstances would not be surprising or out of character to me at all. She is a young girl who is being harassed literally every single day by her husband's family members. Compound that with abuse from the husband she is falling in love with too? That is enough to break anyone... no matter how strong they are. While I hope that this track is scrapped, it would make sense to me from Sai's perspective.

Now, for the part that truly scares me. I have had issues with Virat's flip-floppy nature already. To me, two of the most powerful scenes in the entire show came after Virat abuses Sai when she is on her way to Pulkit's house. The first one being when both of them are in tears and he so sincerely and whole-heartedly apologizes to the woman he is in love with. You can see the pain in his eyes for the pain he has caused Sai. He vows to never let that happen again, with his hand on her head. The second, when he grabs her hand in their room after the pooja, only to immediately let it go, still traumatized at how he could have dared to hurt his love so much. These show such great character development, but the makers ruined that development by making Virat kick Sai out of the house, once again not trusting her fully like he claims to do. However, even then, we see the repent when he comes back home, unable to bring her back home. The pain in his eyes is so clear. Once again, he vows never to do it again.

So, then, my question becomes... how many times is someone going to repeat the same mistake? If Virat wasn't so clearly in love with Sai, then I would say ok. It makes sense. But, currently, the makers have shown that even though Sai is still coming to terms with her feelings, Virat is completely madly in love. Yes, he is not completely secure in the relationship, but that type of thing takes time. There should not be such great character assassination in the meantime. The last few scenes we have seen in the episodes between the pair truly show such great and magical character, but also relationship development. Despite the fallacies in Virat's character, this show continues to be one of the most real and natural shows on Indian television.

Showing Virat once against insulting Sai to the point that she this time commits suicide will be complete destruction and I'm not sure if his character will be able to bounce back from that. Yes, there are bound to be misunderstandings between any couple. And yes, this is TV, so they will be exaggerated. So, bring on the misunderstandings and separations. But, don't make them a result of this type of repeated abuse on Virat's end. Neil is such a talented actor, and his expressions are enough to show Virat's love for Sai. The makers don't have to copy every single aspect of the original show. At the end of the day, they are the creatives for this new version, so they have full control. From what I have seen from the originals (with a large language barrier), Virat and Sai were not shown to be this in love at the point the suicide track came. All I ask is that the progression of the characters and their relationship not be destroyed. Virat stood up for Sai against his entire family when they had just gotten married. There was no love in the picture. Only duty. Now, Virat gets scared even thinking that Sai has so much a back pain. This man's entire life is slowly by surely becoming Sai. It would make no sense for he himself to put her under such abuse yet again, that too with the instigation of Pakhi, whom he knows leaves no chance to insult and harm Sai.

All in all, this track must be scrapped!!!!!

I understand even if he feels insecure but it'd be better to address it privately. And itv isnt mature enough to handle suicide sensitively. So its best they avoid. Even if Sai is breaking down and suicide isnt "unreasonable" if this was really happening but itv cannot depict it well. Plus Virat driving her to the point of it will be character butchery again. I do want him to address insecurity sbd possessiveness, maybe even feel the fear of almost losing her but not at cost of suicide.

Exactly!! Why can't they have a mature conversation behind closed doors?? Or even have a fight in private WITHOUT Virat insulting Sai's character??? There are so many possibilities to achieve the same outcome. But Virat questioning Sai's character in front of the entire family and Sai being pushed to commit suicide in return is just NOT IT.

Based off of the few original Sairat scenes we have been getting, we can only hope that they decide to take their own original spin on things...

Sai will be pushed to the brim by Virat and family

But Virat has already acted worse by throwing her out. Tab bhi he said he loves her. Us hisab se toh character assassination bhi kar sakta hai voh. ITV requires drama. This track would only affect Sairat shippers. Otherwise it is within the story nly. Agar Virat aadhe raat ko usse ghar se nikale phek sakta hai toh character questioning koi badi baat nahi hai. The shipping should have died during Devu track only

I'll have to disagree with you on this one. I agree that Virat has already done much worse. Throwing her out of the house and grabbing her arm so forcefully... yelling at her and accusing her in front of the entire family... all entirely unacceptable. There is no excuse for any of this behavior. It was absolutely disgusting. But, I do think that their relationship has progressed since then and so has Virat. Virat is an extremely insecure and jealous person, and since those two domestic abuse tracks, Sairat's relationship has progressed so much. On top of that, as I said in my post, Neil does such an incredible job of portraying remorse and such raw emotional love. A person can repeat the same mistake, but not over and over again. Why show Virat repenting if he is just going to repeat the same BS over and over again? All I'm saying here is that the makers have a great chance to truly show that Virat has grown. Character assassinating Sai in front of the entire family once again is not only unnecessary but also out of character for him at this point. ITV requires drama, but that drama can be created in other ways. There are so many ways to create drama without this.

Hum dono ek hi baat keh reh hai. He will commit a mistake, repent and then will do the same again. This is only happening. It’s his inherent character to repeat mistakes. Uska insecurity & jealousy can’t be a justification. It’s his mistake. CV’s yahi portray karna chahti hai Aise hi hai Virat. It won’t be out of character. His insecurity and jealousy is a part of his character.

Drama part TRP and copy pasting gets them TRP

The issue with this show is that they are pretty much consistent when it comes to Sai and her character.. They keep playing with Virat as and when they want.. The Virat we saw today is not anyway close to Rono and same was the Virat who gets shocked everytime he held Sai's hand. The same Virat we fell in love with ..The Virat who threw Sai out was Rono, the Virat who will question her character on a trivial issue would be a Rono.. Makers need to decide if they want to show Rono, just go with it and not show such moments that we saw today and one can decide whether they are fine with that Virat-ROno. However this flip flop is not working..Neil can save only for a considerable time.. I am not okay with how they play with Virat's character. He comes as hypocrite and honestly he is a good man, if they carry on with what they started with and not what they copy.. They can copy tracks, but bring in variation in Virat as per the charcater growth.. There is no growth in him if Sai gets to be abused still by the criminals in his house. This is too much now..
