There is even a film called " gudiya" made on this topic..

I happen to see the ending of the film..

The story is set in Kashmir all the said characters are muslims..

Gudiya's husband is in army , he goes on a mission and is lost...

After many years thinking he is dead gudiya's parents marry her again with her second husband...

She is happy and pregnant but the first husband returns again...

He demands gudiya back at any cost...

In muslims our marriage remains fully documented with nikah- nama, so it's a tricky situation as both the marriages are considered fully registered...

Second husband is mad, what about the child and all...

Finally the decision goes to the Muslim clerics who by going detail into the situation gives the Verdict in the favour of first husband...

Gudiya like a doll is sent back to her first husband coz of the so- called society...

She gives birth to a son who is sent back to his father ( 2nd husband) who to gets married in no time...

Gudiya in all this is mentally disturbed and due to stress and other medical conditions dies after 4 yeras after this fiasco ...

It was such a sad film nobody is ready to listen what she wants....
