I'm all for falling in love after a marriage of convenience (yes the trope is a guilty pleasure of mine when it comes to novels) but they never show that. The protagonist (mostly the heroine) will realise that he/she has responsibility towards her husband/family/society/mangalsutra or the spouse will do some major sacrifice and instead of choosing love they'll stay in the marriage. Hate it.

The other person can be the best thing since sliced bread and you still might not love him. Yeh BW ko kyu nhi samajh ata.

I guess the only movie where this didn't happen was that Akki-Kat-Anil Kapoor movie.

I don't watch many movies like this, so I am answering where I rooted for a character and they were killed

1 Avengers - I wanted Star Lord dead but Iron Man died

2 Game of Thrones - I wanted Sansa and Jon Snow dead but Daenerys died

3 Money Heist - I wanted Tokyo dead but Nairobi died

4 Kal Ho Na Ho - I didn't want anyone to die but Aman dying 😭 had me in tears

5 Devdas - I wanted Chandramukhi and Paro dead for "Dola Re Dola" but Devdas died

The list is long, my favorite characters die in almost everything I watch, only people who irritate me live forever

PS - Why people cry for Aman in KKHH? There's absolutely no character growth or background information of the character, isn't it possible he was acting like a good man? I mean it was Salman Khan

I added a kahani mein twist though 😆. Karisma and Akshay (Hain Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya Hai) should have been the endgame instead of her cheating husband.

Oops, sorry.😃 Haven't seen this topic ever since I became active again on IF. I searched love triangle too and didn't find anything recent. Maybe these pairs come up in different threads but not on an actual thread about love triangles.
