The machine displayed ‘22’
‘Mrs.Riddhima Raghunathan..Riddh..’ the nurse saw a 25 year old woman walking towards her.
‘Are you here for Appointment with Dr Nidhi?’ the Nurse looked at the women in her mid twenties who had a distant look in her eyes.. well almost all the girls or women who come here have a story..in her experience with this job, she had heard a lot of stories.
The nurse sighed and repeated her question.
‘ are u here to meet Dr Nidhi?!?’ Sensing no response from her.. she waved a hand before the meek women.
‘excuse me..are you…?!’
‘ I am sorry what were you asking’ responded Riddhima with a startled expression..
‘Next is your appointment with Dr Nidhi. Left corridor , last room’ the nurse smiled at her.. which was returned with a feeble thanks and slight for sake smile from Riddhima who headed towards the left corridor.
….
‘Yes, Mrs Riddhima Raghunathan. What are you here for? ‘
she looked up at the doctor and said ‘Dr, I am pregnant’
‘Yes Riddhima. I saw your reports. You had been seeing Dr Arundhati.Tell me how can I help you?’
Riddhima fidgeted with her dark green duppatta that she had teamed up with lemon yellow kurti .
The doctor studied her and waited for her to respond .
‘Have you come with your husband ?’
‘No. He has work today. He couldn’t come’ Riddhima said not meeting the doctors eyes.
‘Tell Mrs Kabeer..how can I help you?!’ The doctor asked her patiently..
After a long pause Riddhima looked up at the doctor and said
‘I ..I want an abortion ‘

Loong before, I watched a Malayalam movie ‘Ore Kadal’..I was heavily inspired by that one 🤩 an intense and passionate journey of two souls..
this story will be loosely based on that…
The plot centres around
Riddhima Ragunathan- 25yrs old,beautiful, responsible and Naive. married to Kabeer for 6 yrs. A home maker with little
Exposure to the busy urban life.
Kabeer Narayanan— 28yrs old, Smart and handsome..History Teacher by profession.works for a private school. Married to Riddhima for 6 yrs. Dotting father and loving husband .
Arya Kabeer Narayanan— 3yrs old.cute, smart..after her father... Kabeer and Riddhima’s daughter. Dad’s princess and Mom’s world.
Aasha — 35yrs old.smart,beautiful,wise.Un Married. Vansh’s best friend and well wisher. A moral support.
and ,
Vansh Radha Swaminathan— 42yrs old. A Social Scientist. Sharp and smart, Witty, intelligent. And Nonchalant.
Like I said, this Story revolves around those 3 characters. How their fate collides and bring them on the same page.
Does Vansh and Riddhima meet, fall in love despite being poles apart?
If they do, what will be the fate of their love?!? Do they succumb to societal norms, situations and their decisions..
I will try to get into the characters headspace as much as I can..the story will be intense and passionate..
