We have changed the Indian movement quite a bit.

We have shown this. We have shown that.

Show me when and where. I certainly have an issue buying words from people who don't practice what they preach.

Also, before going on to speak what EK is speaking, did this woman realize that probably she is the one who has the biggest contribution in getting TV audience used to the regressive content?

Wow. You first keep on making the same content, get people so used to it for so long that they begin to normalize it and now you want me to believe that you can't show progressive content because it doesn't work? I can't buy that.

And please, let me not even get started on the kind of content she thinks is right to show. Apart from regressive, a lot of her content is so sick-minded that at times, I wonder- how does she even do that? I can't. 🤔

Ekta knows exactly what she’s doing

True, they have constraints but at the end of the day it’s all business and TRPs over quality. We did have some sensible shows before she took over the entire TV industry.

I remember this interview, and it really shows that both Ekta and Gul (along with other makers I assume) understand what is regressive and what is not, and probably have the same "radical" ideas as us for any series😆 but they can show those on ITV only up to a point because TV is a very different medium than OTT platforms. On TV, it all boils down to the girl being "good" in some way. EK dhang ka 'bad girl' protagonist character nahi hain yaar ITV mein😆

The bad girl or flawed female character isn’t anywhere (forget western shows).

I think it’s typically an Asian phenomenon - watching Turkish, Pakistani, Indian and even K dramas that I have watched. The girl is always niiicee.

The girl has to be nice.

Both males and females can have a brutal past but only males are not just allowed but also admired when that turns them into ruthless and unacceptably abusive toward others but if a female does that - kick her out, the dude deserves better..

TFS👍🏼

I remember watching this IV and thinking EK was being more sensible than Gul. And the fact that they still go the old-fashioned way when it comes to TV.

I had a question, if the entire ITV industry changes its pattern to suit a modern audience will the audience continue watching?🤔

There was one, I guess

I think in Behad also they should have let Maya remain as a grey character and not turned her into a complete psychopath. Showed her as a redeemable person. I know that’s not the original plot but still.

The audience will change right, in 20 years or so?

It has to.

They were being really considerate and practical in their IV. But in terms of executing out I'm sure if I can trust them.

In a way they can totally get the sensible audience calling out things but still wanna go the old route
