Most probably. We have to be sanskari right?
They have banned p*rn sites. Now they'll censor steamy scenes from movies ....next maybe web shows......& next you'll see couples would need written permission from "competent authority" before doing the deed in their bedrooms 🤦🏻
They already sort of do this in Gujarat. My family lives in a small beach town there. I was on vacation there and rode on a motorcycle with my male cousin. We were stopped by the police and asked weird questions because they assumed we were a couple. Luckily, my aunt and uncle's car was right behind us and they dealt with these creeps. My cousin told me they did worse with one of his married friends. They were dragged into the police station because they were sitting in a car alone at night and their parents were called and they had to prove that they were actually married. Small town India is an insane place.

films gonna start getting banned left right and center if this happens .. all we are gonna see onscreen is the films that shows narrative that aligns with the govt
Forget banned, such movies won't even get made.
At the end of the day, films are a financial investment. No producer will agree to back a film like this citing these new "laws" and because such films are not even getting made, writers will stop writing, and that will lead to the death of the medium.
Shhh...No country should be Atmanirbhar......Every country need to be Dependent on China....Chinese colony is the best option😭🤣
not interested much on this topic.....done dona done.😃
ignore lord vold---it automaticaly taged u...
Anything that doesn't tow the "party" line. So, films like Bombay, RDB, Dil se, Veer Zaara, Raavanan, Article 15 will never see the light if the day. All of the Anurag Kashyap movies will be banned, ofcourse😆. Movies from Akshay and Ajay glorifying anti-muslims will be supported.
Also, any filmmaker daring to show student protests, farmer protests in the positive light will be hounded. There....... I predicted the future.

People will still make movies as long as there is profit in them. People always need entertainment. Movies were made in the US even during the McCarthy era. What's going to end are movies that are critical of the supreme leader and anything that criticizes the government. It will keep the population as dumb as possible so that it's easy for them to keep winning elections. Keeping the population ignorant is the first order of business for authoritarians.
To be honest, there is already almost nothing critical coming out. They made to sure to start attacking the film industry as soon as they came to power in 2014. Everyone is afraid to say or do anything. They definitely don't have the guts to make anything that criticizes Modi or his henchmen.
India is a Democratic country and we will have our next general elections in 2024..
People who are concerned about India becoming Fascist-Authoritarian country can vote out Modi Government and select Rahul Gandhi as their next PM. Obviously that will be the likely choice of opposition.
And like Biden administration passed executive orders to revoke or reverse many of the Trump orders, Our next PM can do the same.
But remember this politicians do show their real colours:

Atmanirbhar is neither a novel idea nor a very bright one.
In the age of globalization its inefficient. If Country A is a Automotive Hub & Country B is an agricultural land...its a lot more effective if both countries share resources. Its called trade.
Its an old Nehru/Gandhi ideology anyways and until Dr. MMS's historic budget of 91 that opened India up to the world and led to a meteoric rise of India's economy, thats exactly what held us back.
Modi is hell bent on sending India back to the dark ages, in every which way.
Why not to expect logic on Bollywood forum!. Your post is so far off from real world business trends.
Anyways, let me give you legitimate cause for which I would ideally call out Modi Government...
"If he really cares for Atmanirbhar Bharat why bring Farm Laws'20".
