Raavi huffed in annoyance as she once again failed at tying the strings of her blouse. She was definitely going to be late for her anniversary party tonight. This was her first marriage anniversary party and she herself would be late just because of this stupid blouse that she had chosen to pair with her saree. The said piece of clothing was backless and had these long strings tying up at the back. Raavi had specifically chosen that design to gain the attention of her husband who had lately been too busy with business that she was feeling neglected.
It's been 3 weeks that she had gotten any time to spend with her husband. He was so busy lately that he ends up sleeping in the store, and if not there then he's always surrounded by a pile of paperwork while she would wait for him on their bed. And then he leaves early in the morning too. They hardly had a proper conversation in these three weeks, forget about having any quality time to spend together.
Raavi was not only annoyed but was sexually frustrated as well. That's why she planned to wear this stupid backless blouse that was giving troubling her now. She had thought that she would wear this, have her hair tied up in a stylish bun, baring her back for him, seduce him. But these strings were being so problematic! Aarrgghh.
"Aye Chipkali, itna kya time laga rahi hai taiyaar hone mein?" Shiva's sudden arrival had Raavi gasping in shock and backing against the nearest wall holding onto the front of her blouse preventing it from falling.
"Shiva!" she yelled out his name, her eyes wide in anger while she breathed out a sigh of relief. It was just her husband. Her sexy husband was looking extremely handsome in a dark maroon shirt and black trousers. The sleeves of his shirt rolled up to his elbows, and the first few buttons of his shirt open.
While Raavi started to fix the strings of her blouse again, Shiva couldn't stop himself from ogling at his beautiful wife. His eyes moved up and down her body, appreciating her petite body. The black color of her saree contrasting beautifully against her fair skin. Even with those expressions of annoyance on her face, Raavi looked extremely beautiful.
He chuckled seeing her struggle with her blouse and moved to stand behind her back to help her with it. Her breath hitched the moment she felt his hands on her naked back, she couldn't move her gaze away from their reflection in the mirror.
Shiva's heart rate spiked the moment his eyes fell on her exposed back. He gulped realizing that right now the only thing that was covering her upper body was this blouse, only this blouse. He leaned in slightly to place a soft kiss on the back of her neck as he took complete hold of the strings of her blouse. Tenderly, Shiva began tying the strings in secure knots, deliberately letting his fingers caress her smooth skin. A smug smile formed on his lips as he felt her twitch slightly, leaning into his touch.
He had missed her so much! Missed being this close so much, touching her, and everything else as well. Shiva couldn't stop the wide grin from stretching onto his lips, realizing the reason behind Raavi's annoyance. He had already knotted the upper and the middle strings and was now holding working on the last two. While tying those last strings together, Shiva let his fingers wander down her back teasingly.
With hooded eyes, Raavi continued to stare at Shiva's reflection, enjoying his teasing caresses. Her hands were clutching onto the fabric of her saree, her body twitching in response to his touch. She should have done this sooner. Even these slightest of his touches were so soothing but at the same time, they left her desperate for more.
After he was done with her blouse, Shiva placed his hands on either side of her waist and pulled her to him, her back hitting against his chest. He rested his chin on top of her shoulder and whispered in her ear, "Tere irade nek nahi lag rahe mujhe. Yeh jan bujhh ke pehna hai na tu ne." he said while running his finger over her blouse.
Raavi's smile widened and she raised her hand to place it over his cheek, "Tujhe kya lagta hai?"
"Um, hhmm." he just hummed in response while peppering soft kisses on her neck and shoulder, "Party khatam hone ke baad batata hoon." he bit her on the neck lightly so that it won't leave a mark.
********
Later that night, Raavi and Shiva were lying on the bed, naked and tangled, happy and sated. "You have never responded to me like that. Kuch zyada hi miss kiya tu ne mujhe, hhmm." Shiva chuckled as he nuzzled the column of her neck.
"Bol bhi kaun raha hai." she scoffed and tried to push Shiva away from her but he pulled her closer instead, "Apni harkatein dekhi hai tu ne." she breathed and closed her eyes as Shiva kissed the spot where her neck met her shoulder.
"Maine bhi tujhe bohot miss kiya." he whispered and pulled her in his arms to show just how much he had missed her.

Raavi felt weird and sick. It was weird because she hadn't felt like this ever, she was feeling suffocated and anxious, and it felt sick because it made her want to vomit. Every time she would run over to the washbasin but wouldn't vomit. She felt tired and her chest felt as if something was burning inside there.
Raavi came out in the verandah for some fresh air and found Dhara cutting raw mangoes into pieces. The scent of raw mangoes eased the burning in her chest and the desire to eat a few slices of those sour mangoes made itself evident. Raavi walked over to Dhara and sat down, "Inmein se kuch aam main le loon, Dhara di? Mera bada mann ho raha hai kacche aam khaane ka."
Dhara smiled, she knew how much Raavi enjoyed eating raw mangoes, "Pooch kyun rahi hai Raavi. Jitne chahiye le ja." she said.
"Thank you, Dhara di!" Raavi exclaimed happily, picked a few mangoes, and went inside the kitchen to slice them.
Raavi sliced all the mangoes that she had brought and pulled out the spices container to sprinkle some red chili powder on the mango slices but stopped. For some reason, she didn't want to do so. Instead, she grabbed the bottle of tamarind sauce from the upper cabinet and poured some in a bowl. Raavi dipped a slice in tamarind sauce and took a bite.
The sourness of it made her face scrunch up in delight but Raavi still wasn't satisfied. She then began to look around for something that would taste good with raw mango slices and tamarind sauce. Her search ended about 15 minutes later when she found a vanilla ice-cream tub in the freezer. The combination would be weird, she knew. But Raavi couldn't deny the urge to try.
She scooped a little bit of ice cream and coated the mango slice with it and then poured some tamarind sauce over it. This time when Raavi took a bite, her body relaxed and she let out a satisfied moan. "Oh my God!" she exclaimed happily.
Raavi took a larger bowl, added in the ice cream first, cut the mango slices into small bits before throwing them in the ice cream bowl, and finally poured the tamarind sauce over it. She mixed up the concoction and put a spoonful in her mouth. It tasted the same. Wonderful!
She was happy because she no longer felt weird and sick, and also because she had just discovered this delicious combination of raw mangoes, tamarind sauce, and vanilla ice cream.

Raavi was at a restaurant having lunch with her friends, Mishti and Ragini. Raavi had ordered her favorite things but when the waiter brought her order first and the moment the aroma of those hit her nostrils, Raavi lost her appetite and all she wanted was to throw the food away. She felt sick.
"Raavi! Tu theek toh hai?" asked Mishti as Raavi covered her mouth and nose with her hands.
"Isko door hata please!" she pointed at the plate veg haka noodles and the bowl of manchurian, "uurrgg.." Ragini moved over to rub Raavi's back while Mishti put the dishes away. She then poured a glass full of water and made Raavi drink it.
"Abhi kaisa lag raha hai? asked Ragini.
"Better." said Raavi while rubbing her chest. The waiter arrived with Ragini and Mishti's order and took away the dishes that Raavi had ordered.
"Tere liye kuch aurr order kar dein?" asked Ragini while adjusting the plates of food on the table. They had ordered fried rice, honey chili cauliflower, spring rolls, and manchow soup. Raavi hated manchow soup but it was not the case now.
"Main yeh le loon?" she asked while pointing at the bowl of soup, shocking both her friends.
"Tujhe sacchi mein yeh soup peena hai? But tujhe toh yeh bilkul pasand nahi thha na!" Mishti exclaimed but Raavi just grabbed the bowl of soup and began drinking it.
"Hhhmm, it's delicious!" Raavi muttered in satisfaction and began drinking the soup heartily.
"Tu pregnant toh nahi hai?" Raavi froze in shock at Ragini's question, "Kya bola tu ne?" she looked up at Ragini with wide eyes.
"Arre, main toh mazaak kar rahi thhi yaar!" Ragini thought that Raavi didn't like her asking that, "Tujhe manchurian and noodles kitne pasand hain lekin aaj unki smell se tujhe ulti jaisa feel hua. Aurr yeh manchow soup, jisko tu itna hate karti thhi, aaj usse hi itne mazze se pi rahi hai. Toh maine bas aise hi bol diya."
Thinking about Ragini's words, Raavi remembered about her earlier cravings, how sensitive her breasts were, how responsive she was to Shiva's touch now, and how many days late her period had been. And this has been going on for about a month now.
"Oh, shit." the spoon dropped in the bowl with a clink, and Raavi's eyes widened, "Mujhe sacchi mein lag raha hai that I am pregnant."
Her friends glanced at each other first before they turned their attention towards her, "Jaldi se yeh lunch khatam kar, phhir chal hamare saath." said Mishti and the three of them begin eating their food silently.
A few hours later, Raavi, Ragini, and Mishti were at Mishti's place. After their lunch, they had gone to the market and brought several pregnancy tests and now they were waiting for the results. Those few minutes felt like years for Raavi, she didn't know what to feel and what to expect. Everything now depended on the outcome of these tests.
When it was time to check the results, Raavi moved away, "Tum dono check karo yaar. Mujhse nahi ho ga." she said. Ragini and Mishti understood her situation and checked the results for her.
"Positive." they said while looking at the first one.
"Positive." the second time they had a small smile on their face.
"Positive!" their smile turned wide.
"Yeh waala bhi positive!" this time Raavi turned around to have a look, her eyes were misty.
"Positive." she muttered while holding onto one test strip.
"This one says positive as well!" Ragini pointed at the other one.
"Arre! All of them say the same thing!" Mishti exclaimed happily and hugged Raavi, "Congratulations Raavi!" Ragini wrapped her arms around them, "Congratulations meri jaan!"
The excitement was overwhelming for Raavi, the happiness uncontained. Raavi began crying as she realized that she was nurturing a life inside her. A life that she created with her husband, her love, her Shiva.
"Oh my God!" she sobbed while Ragini and Mishti chuckled still wrapped in a hug, "Yeh, main, woh, Shiva." she didn't know what to say so she just cried.
"Yeh rona band kar pehle tu." Ragini wiped the tears off Raavi's cheek and said, "Itni khushi ki baat hai aurr tu ro rahi hai. Accha abhi humne yeh tests toh kar liye, lekin ek baar doctor se mil lein? Confirmation mil jayega."
"Haan, aurr baaki ki details bhi pata lag jayengi. Tu chal abhi hamare saath, meri maasi ob/gyn hai na, unhi ke paas chalte hain." Mishti suggested.
"Lekin abhi? Ghar pohonchne mein late ho jayega, main kal Shiva ke saath chali jaungi na."
"Tch. Yeh faltu ki tension mat le, aurr ab hum nikle hi hain toh acche se confirm karte hain na. Shiva ko tu baad mein bata dena, lekin abhi chal. Mummy tu banne waali hai aurr excitement mujhe ho rahi hai!" Ragini giggled, earning a smack on the head from Raavi but she agreed to visit Mishti's aunt.
And here she was. Sitting in front of Mishti's aunt, telling her about her symptoms and the pregnancy test results. "The mild cramping began about 5 weeks ago, tab dhyaan nahi diya maine lekin abhi sab realize ho raha hai."
"My breasts had been tingling and my clothes feel a bit tight now, aurr vomiting jaisa bohot baar feel hua mujhe. My periods are a bit irregular, 1 week late ho jaata hai toh maine us baat pe bhi zyada dhyaan nahi diya but all these symptoms, and the test kits. Abhi gadbad lag rahi hai mujhe." Raavi was blabbing and it made the doctor laugh.
"Aapne jaise bataya toh I think that you have been pregnant for about 5-6 weeks now. Lekin yeh rough estimate hai, I suggest we do an ultrasound. Are you ready for that?" the doctor asked.
"Yes!" Raavi said without thinking.
Soon she was lying on the hospital bed dressed in the hospital gown, ready for the transvaginal ultrasound to begin. She felt a little uncomfortable when the doctor inserted the wand inside her but it didn't hurt much. Raavi waited for the doctor to speak with bated breath.
"Okay." the doctor said and Raavi bit her lower lip to keep herself from yelling at the doctor to say something.
"I was right, you are about 6 weeks pregnant. Everything is fine, you are in perfect health and so is the fetus, and oh, I think you are having twins." the doctor informed.
"What? I am having what now?" asked Raavi, utterly astonished.
The doctor smiled at her and repeated, "Twins."

Raavi arrived back home at 7 in the evening. She had already messaged Shiva and Dhara that she would get a little bit late because she was meeting her friends after a long time, so nobody asked her any questions. After drinking a glass of water, Raavi went inside her room and the first thing that she did was hide the ultrasound picture and her pregnancy reports.
"Just one more day, my babies. Parson ko batayenge hum aapke papa ko aap dono ke baare mein." she whispered to herself while caressing her lower belly, "Aapke papa ko aapke baare mein batane ke liye ek bohot accha plan hai mera paas. Jaise aap dono ne aaj mujhe surprise kiya na, waise hi ab aapki mumma aapke papa ko surprise de gi." she grinned, happy tears flowing down her cheeks.
It was Father's Day, the day after tomorrow, and Raavi had planned to reveal her pregnancy to Shiva on then. His first father's day gift would be the news about the existence of his children, of their children, their twins.
********
Raavi had prepared a father's day card and a gift box for Shiva in which she had packed a few items along with the ultrasound picture and her pregnancy reports. She had instructed Ragini and Mishti to deliver the gift box to Pandya Niwas. She had imagined that once Shiva would see the contents of the gift box, he will realize what she was trying to tell him and just be happy. But there was an unexpected error in her plan which lead to chaos.
One mistake, just a little mistake, and everything messed up!
As per Raavi's instructions, the gift box was delivered when everybody was drinking theirs after breakfast tea. Even her Maasi Maa, Mausa Paa, and Anita di were there as well.
Krish was the one to receive the delivery. "Arre wah! Inta bada gift, kiske liye aaya ho ga." Krish checked the envelope and it was addressed to 'Mr. Pandya'.
"Yeh kya hai Krish?" asked Dhara.
"Pata nahi, bhabhi. Khol ke dekhte hain." he said and placed the box on the dining table.
"Arre par aise kaise? Kiska gift hai yeh, aurr tu kyun isse khol raha hai?" Dhara objected to Krish opening someone else's parcel like that. She asked him to whom it was addressed to.
"Naam hi toh nahi likha bhabhi." Raavi frowned hearing Krish say that, "Bas, 'Mr. Pandya' ke naam se hi address kiya hai." he revealed, and Raavi had to fight the urge to claw at something with her nails.
"Pehle yeh letter dekh lete hain kiska hai, phhir yeh gift ussi ko de denge." Krish tore open the envelope and found a father's day card inside. "Father's day card, yeh kis Mr. Pandya ke liye hai?" Krish's words made everybody frown except Raavi who was throttling Ragini and Mishti in her mind for making this silly mistake. She knows her family, and she knows how crazy they can be.
Krish began reading the contents of the card out loud and all Raavi wanted at that moment was to punch Krish in the face. This pregnancy was definitely making her violent.
****
Dearest Papa,
No words are enough to express our feelings for you. All that we can say is that you are the most wonderful father someone can have. This year we couldn't come to wish you personally so we are sending this gift for you. You are our hero Papa, you are our role model. We love you so much! And the next time, we'll celebrate father's day with you.
Happy Father's Day, Papa
****
The atmosphere turned serious and silent the moment Krish finished reading the message that was written inside the card. Everybody was now eyeing the four Pandya brothers trying to guess as to whom did this gift belonged. On the other hand, Raavi was sitting on the sofa chair, her lips twitching furiously as she waited for someone to speak. Rishita was the one who started it.
All of a sudden, breaking through the thick silence, rang out a shrill cry as Rishita began hitting Dev furiously. "Yeh sab tumhare liye hai na!" she cried, "Tabhi tum mujhse itna door door rehte ho aaj kal! Mujhe toh pehle se hi shaqq thha ki tumhaari life mein koi aurr ladki hai, lekin bacche! Kitne ghatiya insaan ho tum, Dev!"
"Arre, Rishita!" Dev was trying to avoid getting hit by her fists, "Yeh meri liye nahi hai! Sach mein! Aurr mera koi affair nahi chal raha yaar, koi bacche nahi hain. Tum faltu mein mujhpe shaqq karti rehti ho!"
"Jhoot! Mujhe pata hai tum mujhse jhoot bol rahe ho! Kyunki ab tum mujhse pyaar nahi karte!" Rishita began wailing and Dev nervously wrapped his arms around her, afraid she would start hitting him again.
"Main sach keh raha hoon Rishita, yeh gift mere liye nahi hai. Main yeh gift waala Mr. Pandya nahi hoon!" he tried to explain but Rishita elbowed him in the ribs and pushed him away, "Accha, yeh tumhare liye nahi hai toh phhir kis ke liye hai?" she asked.
"Agar yeh father's day waala gift Dev ka nahi hai, toh kahin yeh Gautam ka toh nahi?" said Maami while passing evil glances towards Gautam and Dhara who stiffened in response.
"Fui!" Anita called her name like a warning.
Maami patted Anita's shoulder and continued, "Bhai, mujhe toh yeh gift Gautam ka hi lagta hai! Ab Dhara ke saath toh koi baccha hua nahi, toh kya pata yeh Gautam ne kissi dusri ke saath..."
"Aye aag lagane waali kagadi! Muh band kar apna nahi toh yeh danda marungi tujhe!" threatened Suman, not letting Maami complete her sentence. Maami placed a finger over her lips and hid behind Anita.
"Yeh gift Gaumbi aurr Dev ke liye nahi hai, toh kahin.." when Raavi heard Dhara saying that she had hopes that at least Dhara would be able to realize that this gift was meant for Shiva but all her hopes crashed down, shattering to dust when Dhara completed her sentence, "Krish! Yeh tere liye toh nahi hai na!"
Raavi slapped herself on the forehead before she began massaging her temples. Why the hell would Dhara relate this to Krish and not Shiva?
"Arre bhabhi!" Krish stuttered, "Aapko aisa kyun lagta hai ki yeh gift mere liye aaya hai?"
"Pehle woh cigarette, phhir woh ribbon waali ladki, aurr woh jo tu chupke chupke apne phone pe baat karta rehta hai! Kaun hai woh Naina? Maine tujhe usse 'I love you' kehte hue bhi suna thha, aurr tu luch bacchon ki baat bhi kar raha thha!" Dhara revealed and now everybody, Raavi as well, were staring at Krish with doubtful eyes.
"Bhabhi, Naina ek stray dog hai!" Krish exclaimed surprising everybody. "Woh mujhe aurr mere friends ko university mein milli thhi, ussi ke puppies hone waale thhe. Yeh dekho, Nanina aurr uske bacche." he showed them all pictures of a beautiful tri-color dog and her puppies.
"Mujh bechara shareef se bacche par aisa ilzaam laga rahe ho aap." Dhara looked at him apologetically while Krish turned to face Shiva who was munching on a biscuit, "Yeh gift Shiva ke liye bhi toh ho sakta hai!" he pointed out making Shiva choke on the biscuit and Raavi cheer for Krish in her heart and mind.
"Aye gadhede! Kya bakwaas kar raha hai!" Shiva rushed over to Krish to pull and twist his ear, "Yeh gift mere liye kaise ho sakta hai?"
And Raavi had enough! She walked closer to them and asked, "Kyun? Yeh gift aurr yeh card tere liye kyun nahi ho sakta?"
Shiva left Krish's ear and turned to face Raavi who was looked extremely angry, "Raavi, aisa kuch bhi nahi hai." he thought that Raavi was doubting him and that she thought that he was having an affair and had kids with some other woman.
"Kyun nahi ho sakta? In fact, yeh gift tere liye hi hai!" Raavi was furious that her idea of the surprise reveal had failed so miserably.
Shiva's eyes widened in horror and Maami began crying over Raavi's fate, "Raavi, main sach bol raha hoon. Yeh gift mere liye ho hi nahi sakta! Tujhe pata hai na ki main sirf tujhse pyaar karta hoon toh tu aisa soch bhi kaise sakti hai mere baare mein!"
"Yeh gift tere liye hi hai Shiva!" Raavi was telling the truth but Shiva thought something else, "Tujhe aisa kyun lagta hai ki yeh gift mere liye hi hai? Itna sure kaise hai tu?"
Raavi groaned and revealed the truth out loud, "Kyunki tujhe yeh gift bhejne waali main hoon! Issiliye toh keh rahi hoon ki yeh gift tere liye hi hai!"
The ladies in the house were looking at her with strange eyes, they had probably guessed the reason behind this gift but Shiva still hadn't, "Tu?! Aye chipkali! Tu ne mujhe aisa gift kyun bheja, yeh father's day ke card ka kya matlab hai? Bhool gayi kya ki main pati hoon tera!"
"Tch. Shiva! Tumhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha kya ki Raavi ne yeh gift tumhe kyun bheja?!" Rishita grinned at Shiva, she had guessed what Raavi was trying to tell Shiva through this gift.
"Mujhe nahi samajh aa raha, bhabhi." Shiva responded, earning a smack on the head from Raavi. Her action made the ladies laugh while the men looked confused, they still hadn't realized what was going on.
Shiva narrowed his eyes at Raavi and rubbed the back of his head, "Maar kyun rahi hai?"
"Jaise scooter ko chalane ke liye kick maarte hain na, waise tere dimaag ko chalane ke liye maara maine tujhe! Rishita ko bhi samajh aa gaya ki yeh gift tere liye kyun hai, lekin tu jaise gadhede ke paas dimaag hai hi kahan hai chalane ko?! Pagal bhoothnath!" Raavi huffed angrily and walked away.
"Rishita ko bhi samajh aa gaya, matlab? Tumhe kya main bewakoof lagti hoon?" Rishita whined but Raavi ignored everything and rushed upstairs to her room.
"Yeh ho kya raha hai?" Shiva muttered to himself, perplexed as to why would Raavi send him a father's day gift. And then the ladies of the family began congratulating him for some reason, they were hugging him, patting him on the head, and what not! After that, they started going upstairs, probably after Raavi, but Shiva pulled back Dhara to ask her about his confusion.
"Bhabhi, yeh chal kya raha hai yahan? Aap sab aise react kyun kar rahe ho?" Shiva questioned Dhara who cradled his cheek and said, "Yeh gift khol ke dekh le, sab pata chal jayega." she smiled and patted his cheek before leaving.
His brothers came to stand by his side, "Yeh ladkiyon ko na koi nahi samajh sakta!" Dev sighed and placed a hand on Shiva's shoulder.
"Dhara bol ke gayi na ki gift kholne pe pata lag jayega ki yahan chal kya raha hai. Chal abhi, dekhte hain ki iss gift box mein aakhir hai kya." suggested Gautam, and the brothers went over to where the gift box was. Shiva tore away the wrapping paper roughly and quickly opened the box. A sharp gasp escaped his lips the moment he saw the contents of it.
There were different items in the gift box, the first one that Shiva picked, were two onesies. Something was written on them but Shiva was too shocked to read, he then picked up two small baby hats that had furry pompoms on them. The gift box had two books in it as well; What To Expect When She's Expecting and What To Do When You Are Having Two.
Shiva's eyes grew misty when he noticed all those chocolates that had tags on them. Dadi, Nani, Nana, Bade Paa, Badi Maa, and many more but the one that had his attention was the 'Papa' one. Shiva's eyes grew misty, he looked up at his brothers who looked just as emotional as he was, "Gaumbi yeh..." he trailed off, feeling too overwhelmed to speak.
The last items in the box were Raavi's pregnancy reports and the ultrasound picture. And the moment Shiva read the word 'positive' in the reports and the ultrasound picture, the tears that he had been holding on, fell down his cheeks, unabashed.
Now he understood why Raavi had sent him this gift, "Mera baccha." Shiva cried happily and hugged the ultrasound picture and the reports close to his heart.
"Baccha nahi mere bhai, bacche." Krish chuckled and sniffled at the same time, "Inhe dekh." he showed Shiva, Dev, and Gautam the onesies. One of the onesies read, 'I wasn't planned!', while 'Me neither!' was printed on the other one.
"Arre haan! Aurr yeh book bhi toh dekh; What To Do When You Are Having Two." Gautam showed Shiva the book.
Shiva began reading the reports, he wanted to be sure that what his brothers were telling him was true. And that is when he noticed the ultrasound picture carefully. There were two distinct spots there which were marked as 'Baby A' and 'Baby B'.
"Ahh!" Shiva wobbled and fell on the floor, grinning happily and crying at the same time as he kissed the ultrasound picture multiple times before hugging it close to his heart. Gautam, Krish, and Dev watched their brother with teary eyes and joined him on the floor, and pulled him in for a group hug.
The brothers remained in the same position for a few minutes before Gautam broke the hug first, "Chal, abhi jaa Raavi ke paas. Woh tera intezaar kar rahi hogi." and Shiva wasted no time in that. He ran upstairs, climbing three steps at once. He was too ecstatic to care about anything else.
"Raavi.." her name felt like a sacred prayer. Shiva found Raavi sitting on the bed along with Maami, Dhara, Rishita, and Anita, while Suman was in her wheelchair and beside Raavi.
"Maa, ab humme chalna chahiye. In dono ko kuch time ke liye akela chhod dete hain." Dhara smiled teasingly as she stared at Shiva while talking to Suman.
"Haan, haan. Chalo sabhi ab." and everybody began leaving the room but Shiva's gaze was fixed on Raavi who was looking at him with a scowl on her face but the happiness in her eyes, and the red tint of her cheeks told him that she wasn't that mad at him as she was trying to show.
Once they were alone, Shiva locked the door from inside and joined her on the bed, "Tujhe kab pata chala?" he asked, his hoarse voice reflected just how happy he was.
"Ek din pehle, jab main apni friends ke saath lunch ke liye gayi thhi na. Tab." Raavi replied in a soft tone.
"Pehle kyun nahi bataya?" he asked entwining their fingers as he clutched onto her hand tightly.
Raavi laid her head on his shoulder and said, "Maine socha ki tujhe father's day pe surprise dungi. Lekin tu!" she raised her head only to hit him on the head, "Maine itna accha surprise plan kiya lekin tu jaise bewakoof bhoothnath ko samajh hi nahi aaya kuch!"
"Seedhe seedhe nahi bol sakti thhi? Yeh aise tedhe tareeke se hi batana soojha tujhe!" he exclaimed and pinched her nose.
"Ah!" Raavi yelped and slapped his hand away, "Tu bhi toh tedha hi hai! Gadheda! Bhootnath kahin ka! Maine itna accha surprise plan kiya thha lekin sab kharaab.." Shiva silenced her by placing his hand over her mouth, "Sshh."
Shiva looked at her with so much happiness in his eyes, with so much intensity that Raavi got lost in his deep, dark, and soulful eyes, "Kuch kharaab nahi hua! Sabhi bohot accha hai Raavi. Main tujhe bata nahi sakta ki iss waqt main kya mehsoos kar raha hoon. Itni khushi ko bayan karne ke liye shabd hi nahi hain." tears started rolling down his cheeks and watching him cry, made Raavi cry as well.
Shiva cradled her face in his hands and kissed her on the forehead, "Thank you." he then kissed away her tears, "Thank you." he repeated before placing his lips over hers in a soft, gentle, and heartwarming kiss.
"Thank you." he breathed.
Raavi moved closer and sat on his lap, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hug. "Thank you." said Raavi, "Meri zindagi mein aane ke liye, mujhse shaadi karne ke liye, mera pyaar banne ke liye, meri khushiyaan banne ke liye."
"Aaj yeh zindagi poori si lag rahi hai, Raavi." Shiva placed an open-mouthed kiss on her neck and pulled her tightly against him, "I love you."
Raavi smiled and kissed his temple, "I love you too."
A few seconds later, Shiva pulled away and placed his trembling hand on her stomach, "There's two?" he asked.
Raavi laughed and wiped away her tears, "Haan. Ek ke saath ek free mila hai. Ek hi din mein do-do shock lage mujhe! Pehle pregnancy ka aurr phhir yeh twins ka."
Shiva chuckled and kissed her cheek. He laid her down on the bed and kissed her on the forehead while his hand rested on her flat stomach, "Happy father's day, mere bacchon ke papa!"
Shiva laid down beside her, wrapped his arms around her, and bit the tip of her nose, "Thank you, mere bacchon ki mumma."
