Yahan Kavya koi wrong nahi keh raha, hum sirf pov de rahe how Anu is also not wrong at her place. It is you who is taking that I am saying Kavya is wrong. I never said Kavya is wrong in hiring a maid, what I pointed out was hiring a full time maid for 2 people is waste of money and savings is important to secure your future. That's what my parents have taught me and hence I found it waste of money so I shared my pov regarding that. Not once in any of my reply I said Kavya was wrong in hiring maid.

In my very first comment I did not even mention Anupamaa is right or kavya is wrong. I just mentioned about full day maid for 2 people. I would suggest you to start watching some other shows where leads are bit vocal about their viewpoints and are progressive(rest your choice can’t change that)

Toh it was full illogical… aur aap ghar main travel karke enter karte hi sabke manpasand cheez toh nahi banate… jaise Anupama ne resort se akar kiya tha…. You quoted this post and started Anupama vs Kavya and who is right amd who is wrong in between thats why I replied to you based on your comments. Maine bhi kabhi nahi bola kavya galat hai and anu ne bhi kahan Kavya ko bola mat rakho maid, jab usne bola ki fully trained maid aayegi tab sirf usne itna bola kitni bhi trained still ghar ke hisab se train karna padta hai, uske alawa anupamaa ne kuch nahi bola.

In the Canada and USA, in most of the house men and women BOTH does domestic job . In india sadly mostly boy moms ar like anupama and Leela who never push their son for domestic works.

In Canada , Europe , USA , men’s does bring grocery to house when coming house after job since BOTH the people are working. Here minority house has system . My best friend lives in Bay Area California, I am seeing their life culture where they don’t make 4 type of aachar like typical Indian houses, they bring ready aata packs to home unlike India’s typical houses where in the summers we brought wheat from the markets, clean it on our on etc . Canadian/Americans are not making 4/5 types of aachar, neither does brings wheat at home to clean/grind and they don’t cook 5-6 items in lunch and dinner. In typical joint families, lady asks everyone about their choices of cooking so there is no general cooking system in the house unlike Canada /America where people practically cooks only 2-3 items in kuch and dinner.

Difference 5 :

Practicalities: Term is very short but difference is huge. In Indian households nobody treats working women with practical thought like if she is working let’s bring ready aata pack in the house or pickle bottles in the house or in place of making food of every single members choice, let’s try to make general 2-3 items in the morning -evening. This same things can be possible in nuclear families but definitely not in joint families.

Different 6 :

In America/Canada 2-3 generations doesn’t live under the same roof. Everyone have their separate house and they meet and greet each other either on weekends or on occasions that’s it. In india and in traditional families, 2-3 generations lives together and all wants to maintain their choices in the house without thinking practically which is huge hurdle and make domestic jobs more complex.

Most people in USA/Canada don't cook 4 different hot meals for 4 times a day. All have dishwashers to do dishes. Again most wash their own dishes. The quite common thumb rule is that, one cooks and the other cleans.

Vaccum in the entire house only happens once a week - at most twice. And for the rooms which are not in use, won't be touched for almost a month. In India, people have to dust, and clean (with pocha) daily whether that room is use or not. In States/Canada - everyone cleans their own room. In India that everyone person is usually - 'Mom/Bahu'

There is no dryer concept in India, so even after using a washing machine - hanging clothes is another job that is to be done daily. The small families in States/Canada usually handle the personal washing load by themselves twice a week or so.

In contradiction, I do agree many Indian men might not help at all, no matter in what country they are. Because the 'King/Prince' upbringing most gets.

PS: This is based on my personal observation/experience. Differences in opinions are always welcomed.

I am not in favor of maid or no maid, it is just by showing one extreme-ended opinion they are setting the wrong example. Making Anu a superwoman might have been nice but it is not realistic. People do suffer because of these issues. It would have been better if they opted for a bit more realistic track. A person just out of cancer surgery is on feet for like 16 hours a day - well I doubt even superwomen would be able to do that.
