Yes, most of their fathers or grandfathers from India, moved to Zanzibar in early 1900’s Beautiful and peaceful island. Was ruled by sultans. The last sultan who i think is in his 90’s recently moved from England to Oman

Sultan Qaboos bin Said sadly passed away last year.. he wasn’t in his 90s… he was 79 😭

Now the nee Sultan is his cousin.. Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.

Don’t think Last sultan of Zanzibar ( Jamshid bin Abdullah Al Said) related to sultan of Oman. Think first sultan of Zanzibar originally from Oman. Generation after generation ruled Zanzibar. Then overthrown by Zanzibar Africans
