BJP is defined by its views of Hindu-supremacy, a Prime Minister who led a pogrom, and their insistence of building a particular temple. Some supporters know it makes them look bad so they whitewash the party as much as possible to make it seem more palatable and centrist. Usually the people who call themselves centrist are also very firmly on one side but smart enough to know it's embarrassing to publicly associate with that side because of the negativity associated with it.

Every party in India is same.

That is your definition and how you define BJP supporters. For other people, it is simply them viewing that BJP is defending their indentity, admist the elusiveness of minorities establishments(not public, as many minority people have no issue with integrating with Hindu culture), who don't seek to integrate, rather try to encroach.

Yeah so basically you support the BJP for their Hindu-supremacist identity but prefer calling yourself a centrist because it sounds better even though the basic views underneath the name and title are exactly the same. That's basically what all centrists do. None of them are really centrists because to actually be centrist, it means you really have no views at all and don't really believe in anything.

Kahan jaa rahe ho mere bhai.

I was explaining you why I identify as a liberal.

Your assumption was that I think I am liberal because I hate BJP (rather condescending of you I must say).

On almost all topics of debate in the world, I stand on the liberal side.

Does that mean everyone does? Not at all.

Just like the rainbow, and the er gender fluidity, a person can lie anywhere on the graph.

There are many LGBTQ conservatives!

It's just that coincidentally I'm on the left side of the graph, that's all! Is that on purpose? Absolutely not. I was brought up in a right leaning family, and except from 2 relatives, everyone else is right leaning in my family.

Oh yeah, and BTW, I am a practicing Hindu. Aaj kal sadly yeh bhi bataana padata hai to explain how I'm not anti-Hindu. Good luck if I had some other religion 😊

Same difference!

So which party should people vote for? These are 2 major political parties in India.

Koi farishta nahi aane wala. 🤷‍♀️

My priority is development, poor empowerment, policies that help lower strata people. Modi’s govt schemes so far has focused on that. BJP has some ace ministers. Sushma was my favorite. I will stick to the party she stuck for years. Manohar Parikar another one. In the current ones, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Ravi Shankar Prasad. Smriti is doing good work too.

Congress mein to mujhe koi impressive nai lagta.

So if liking and following Sushma Swaraj is Right bias, I would take pride in that.

Uff yr Marketing Guru Kejriwal ka to naam bhi na lo.. Dimaag ki dahi kar rakhi thi har news channel par har do minute baad uski ad. Even when I don't watch news channels it was hard to ignore when parents watch those drama news channels.

Congress hypocrisy and stupidity was so out in open regarding vaccines and pandemic management. Congress in Chhattisgarh was against covaxin and later shamefully was asking for it. In Punjab they are taking covaxin at Government prices and then selling it to private hospitals. Why let any scam opportunity go waste... Wonder what congress would have done if they were at centre.

I agree about Bengal elections and kumbh mela. But later they canceled Kumbh but Eid celebrations were not canceled. I am reading about ivermectin recently too. Why would that gain mainstream attention? Pharma company lobbies?

Congress would have probably bought vaccine from outside and put the country in the debt. We were polio free in 2011. Even after Somalia. Thanks to Congress. So imagine India waiting for other countries to procure vaccine, Congress has opportunity to do thousands crores scam in that. And take years to vaccinate people. No thanks. We are better off now.

Covaxin ke khilaf to ek morcha khada hai. Bharat Biotech guy left high paying job in USA and came India, started his lab and research there. Par made in India ki kya kimat hai ramesh Babu. 😆

I don’t care who you vote for. Because , like you said, koi farishta nahi hai! Whoever we vote, our duty as a responsible citizen is making them answerable for the time that they are being paid for! NOT sit and defend them and justify their actions and mudsling on the people who are asking genuine questions.
