Mere yahaan aisa kuch nai hai. I’m generally a self conscious person so I always dress up modestly.. generally jeans top & in summers I prefer wearing Kurtis like ishqi.. I love plazzos too, super comfy. when I’m out. Ghar pe toh I can’t wear anything that covers my legs 😆

Meri toh Daadi bhi sleeveless pehenti hai and my bua who is in her 50s is tall and still thin toh she even wears dresses. My mom used to wear skirts and ek long dress aati thi pehle.. knee ke neeche tak, she used to wear that. She wears suits and Kurtis only now, functions pe struggles to wear a saree.😆

My college friend married in a conservative baniya family in Delhi, uske yaha saree ka issue tha. But now she told me she started wearing suits.. usne wala suit and Kurti ka rivaaj shuru kar diya.

Mere Palazzos and Top Zindabad ✋ Bahar tho kuch bhi kurti daal Leti hnu Except koi work place ho Jahan dress code ka issue ho. I love wearing long skirts outside but people with me says tu Rasta saaf Karna band kar so I avoid that sometimes 😆

We don’t drink at all.. my bua’s family does and some of my mom’s cousins but I don’t know the details of how much they drink 😆

These days it’s not a punjabi thing; but most people in Delhi NCR or metro cities drink to look cool.

That extra chamak dhamak and chataik color is at times also associated with lower classes / caste people in north India.

I remember a very close friend of mine was wearing a very bright shirt with little chamak ( I had just moved to India so wasn’t aware of caste stuff much, and couldn’t tell castes by last names).. so I casually joked with her about the color and a Brahmin friend whispered.. “inke andar se hota hai kuch.. pehen ne ko, samjho” I just didn’t know how to react to that..

Dont know if it's already discussed.... there was pic Ishqi wearing a diff costume at airport... I feel Ishqi will try to leave again ...may there is lot more drama to unfold before the marriage festivities begin ..

But I cant put up with this dadi crap any longer
