Yeah ... Raj is sorted and mature ... Sarla only taunts and that too to your face - you can easily answer back and handle the situation. Also if Sarla sees how you care for Raj, she will be ok.

Dadi type MIL you never want. But sadly they exist a lot more than Sarla - to your face all OK, but then doing everything and anything to belittle the bahu unbeknownst to you or your spouse - and it is hard in such cases for boys to see their parent figure in the wrong because they have only seen the "good" side.

I think it depends on the situation. An aunt of mine is quite similar to Sarla (minus the plotting monologues because no one irl does that😆) with ek lauta beta who had a love marriage, and I can't imagine how her daughter in law (my bhabhi) handles her without going crazy😆

Sarla looks like an angel compared to Daadi😆 If someone wants to jump in front of a truck every other second and the hubby has to leave a makeout session to "save" them, no thank you. It's just setting yourself up for years of pain and toxicity. Ishqi should've left for Singapore when she had the chance😆 bhaisaab ne toh tore the tickets too😳
