I am happy for them too though honestly they did not have much choice. Shaurya delicately told them in the most amicable tone that he can marry Anokhi without their consent too as they are adults but he would rather have their presence and blessing to make the day and celebrations complete and Anokhi happy. They might not realize what a gem of a person they have ended up having in Shaurya yet.
I loved the way he handled it all. He asked for permission and when they seemed hesitant, he presented the reality that it was a courtesy and not a requirement. He was sooooo happy to hear the yes though. He yearns for acceptance. He really is a gem and just wants Anokhi happy!
I did not expect much to come out of that confrontation. I never felt Tej was emotionally invested in Shaurya. He is too cold and practical to feel Shaurya's indignation. I was proud that given the family environment, Shaurya actually contronted him. I also loved that Shaurya said you tried to bribe the DIL of the household (I am constantly at awe at how deeply and openly Shaurya has accepted that he is married to Anokhi. There is no question or confusion in his mind about it despite it being an impulsive act with no legal or social recognition and the way his wife keeps waffling on it now and then). I completely expected Tej to bring up all he had done for Shaurya and he did ...this family never misses a chance for emotional blackmail. Regardless of everything, Devi gets credit for bringing up a righteous, strong son with immense clarity of right and wrong.
Righttttt. He didn’t give that traditional vibe. But sindoor and her acceptance is all he needs to consider himself married to his dream girl. And for a man who wasn’t running to a mandap, he easily accepted his role as husband. Deepti likes to say “Shaurya Sabherwal’s dream was to be a husband” and I agree wholeheartedly!!
I begrudgingly agree that Devi did something right in raising Shaurya. It’s not just Aastha’s nature, it’s also Devi’s nurture!
I have nothing to say...the dialogue writers did an amazing job today. I still don't understand why Devi fears Astha so much but that is a story for another day. I was surprised that she openly asked that Astha not be a part of wedding (Does that mean she accepts Shaurya's wedding plan with Anokhi now?). What is Alok's problem with Astha? He has nothing to lose or gain regardless of who Shaurya marries. We need Shagun to maintain the elaborate wedding drama directed by Shaurya. She also needs to be constantly reminded that she has no chance and Shaurya can be ruthless when he wants to. The way he told his BM that he would never force her to attend his wedding was so unlike of Shaurya given how much he has trusted and loved her but he has outgrown the illusion of BM in last few months.
I don’t get Devi’s fear or Alok’s issues either!
I agree it’s not in Shaurya’s nature to not want his BM there...but he has a mom and a dad and a sister and a aunt and a wife and in laws and a Ahir in his corner now!
Gayatri will manage Kitchen/Menu while Yash will keep working on his invisibility cloak. I loved the way Shaurya twisted Tej's bribe to welcome gift.
🤣
We need Shagun, she is the prop that will create drama. She is needed to make Anokhi insecure and jealous and provide credibility to the whole wedding lies. Everyone seems worried that she will execute a bride swap...I cannot see that happening. And what does she gain by becoming illegal/second wife of Shaurya and subject of his ire? Shaurya keeps harping he is married to Anokhi and this is just second marriage with his wife. He said it twice when he tried to recruit her in his plan. What she can do is find a way to harm Anokhi but she has to risk Shaurya's anger if he finds out about it.
I see the value of Shagun even though I really dislike it. I know she’ll do something but I don’t know what. I just don’t want my babies shaadi to even have a cast of her shadow.
I loooove it too that he just thinks of this as a socially acceptable remarriage because in his heart he is her husband!
Not sure what Anokhi was thinking but it was obvious that if she let Shaurya go, his foster parents would get him married to Shagun as soon as possible. I did love her instinct and desperation with the whole collar holding. That is what Shaurya has been feeling for last few episodes, everytime she has denied their marraige. I hope the CVs are practical enough and they don't drag this out. Ideally the secret should be out in Shagan ceremony itself. I want her to enjoy all other rasams of her marriage with her hubby happily. Meanwhile I want her to step up her game - be jealous and possesive, try to remind Shaurya of their sweet times and be apologetic, try to find alone time with him, maybe try seducing him ...essentially everything Shaurya has been doing since their sindur wedding and finally stake her claim openly. If we are going with nayi soch, why should women be shy, delicate wall flowers?
I liked the conversation Anokhi had with Tej. She wants Shaurya to be happy but when it becomes a reality, she won’t be able to take it.I also hope she gets to know soon so she can enjoy the rasams. But only after she get overly jealous and confronts Shaurya. Shaurya deserves to have his feelings and actions reciprocated! She’s been taking it all for granted.
Also totally with you on Anokhi showing some boldness!!
