RaghVi FS: His Addiction

Chapter-5

Pallavi called out his name a few times but it went in vain as he was completely in unconscious in her arms.

"Devaa ab mai kya karu? " She muttered to herself before pushing him away from her and while doing that he winced a few times making her surprised at first but then she thought that maybe because of high fever, his body was aching and hence the wincing.

Once he was laid down on the bed comfortably, she dialled Farhaad's number.

"Ji bhabhi! " Farhaad said as soon as he put the phone on his ear.

"Farhaad, Raghav ko bohot tez bukhar hai! Jaldi se doctor ko bula ke leke aao! " She informed him and Farhaad dreaded at that very moment. If the doctor came then there was no chance of her not knowing about Raghav's accident that happened in the morning. And once she would know it, then no one could save both him and his Anna from her wrath.

"Hello Farhaad kaha kho gaye?" He heard her voice from the other end breaking his trance of thoughts.

"Bukhaar? Zarur woh bu... " He almost blurted out panicked but thankfully he didn't say the whole thing.

"Haa Farhaad kya keh rahe ho tum? " She asked not able to understand what he was trying to say.

"Bhabhi mai toh yeh keh raha tha ki doctor ki kya zarurat hai? Aap apni aayi ka koi nuskha istemaal karlo! Aur ghar pe bukhaar ki medicine hai, mai woh leke aata hu! " He tried to convince her as bringing a doctor would result in seize fire.

"Raghav ka bukhaar bohot zada hai! Aur woh dard mei bhi hai! Hame doctor ki hi help leni hogi! " She replied as she looked at Raghav who was squirming in pain.

"Lekin Bhabhi.. " He tried to counter back but was interrupted by her.

"Farhaad! " She warned leaving him with no option but to follow her order.

"Ji ji bhabhi mai abhi family doctor ko phone karta hu! " He said and ended the call.

'Ab toh Anna ko aur mujhe allah bhi nahi bacha payenge bhabhi ke gusse se! ' Farhaad thought before he proceeded to call the Doctor.

"Zada stress ki baat nahi hai. Maine dawaayi de di hai, woh kal subah tak normal ho jayenge! Waise inhe koi chot lagi hai kya haal hi mei? " The doctor informed them after checking up Raghav was still not in his senses.

"Chot? Nahi doctor! " "Haa woh bullet! " Both Pallavi and Farhaad said at the same time and she got shocked hearing the word bullet from Farhaad's mouth. Her head immediately snapped towards Farhaad who gave her a look as that of a scared 10 years old.

"Kya? Kya kaha tumne Farhaad? " She dared him to tell the whole thing and in that moment, Farhaad knew that he was dead.

"Nahi bhabhi kucch nahi! "He tried not to be complacent and the keyword here is 'tried'.

"Maine kaha abhi batao! " She threatened him. Her one look and he spilled everything to her, her heart came almost in her mouth hearing the whole incident.

"K-kya? " She uttered as her mind was still numb to react with any other word.

"Accha toh ho sakta hai usi wajah se inhe itni tez bukhar aaya ho! Aap inka bukhaar utaarne ke liye thande paani ki pattiyan rakh sakti hai, usse bukhaar jaldi utar jayega! " Doctor piped in for the first time in a while making them remind of his presence.

"J-ji doctor! " She stuttered as she was still numb with shock at the audacity of her husband to take a bullet and not to tell her about it as if it was some candy and not a bullet.

"Farhaad inhe chod aao aur uske baad wapas aana, mujhe tumse kucch baat karni hai! " She said in a no nonsense tone like her husband and in that moment Farhaad knew that along with his Anna, he would be having the punishment as well.

Though he was reluctant to go back to his Anna's room after he dropped the doctor but he knew he had to go so he went there bravely and found his bhabhi putting up a wet cloth on his Anna's forehead.

"Ji bhabhi, aapne bulaya tha! " He said after a minute of silently watching her.

She turned to look at him and fire was what he saw in her eyes and he felt like if the ground could swallow him then he would have preferred that rather than having to face her.

"Mujhe bataya kyu nahi, tumne? " He heard her calm voice as she walked towards him.

"Woh bhabhi Anna ne mana kiya tha." He told her quitely.

"Farhaad tum mujhe bhabhi maante bhi ho ya sirf aise hi bolte ho? " She asked him making him look at her in eyes at her accusation.

"Nahi bhabhi aisa nahi hai! Mai aapko dil se bhabhi maanta hu! " He answered truthfully.

"Mujhe toh nahi lagta! Agar maante hote toh jo kucch aaj hua, woh batate! Lekin tumhe toh tumhare Anna ki baatein maanni hoti hai! Phir chaahe woh galat hi kyu na ho! " She accused him and he somewhere knew that he had hurted her a lot by his act even when he didn't do it on his own will. He felt guilty but he had to put up his side of story too.

"Bhabhi Maine Anna ko samjhaane ki bohot koshish ki! Balki Maine toh unhe ladne ko bhi mana kiya kyuki woh log bohot saare the lekin Anna aapke alaava kiski sunte hai? Meri toh bilkul bhi nahi! Unka jo man aata hai woh karte hai! Unko rokna impossible hota hai aur upar se unhone aapko bataane ko bhi mana kar diya! Yahaa tak ki Amma aur Keerti ko bhi kucch nahi bataane diya! " He explained her and she felt so angry towards Raghav at the moment.

"Tumhare Anna ek number ke bevakoof hai! Aisa kon karta hai? " She furiously uttered.

"Shayad woh aapko tension nahi dena chahte the aur aap the bhi nahi yaha toh ho sakta hai ki woh.. " He tried to explain on his Anna's behalf too but was interrupted by her.

"Bas Farhaad! Tumhare Anna par jo thesis tumne likhi hai woh mujhe sunne mei koi interest nahi hai! " She snapped at him making him speechless for a brief moment.

"Sorry bhabhi! " He apologized not knowing what else to say.

"Goli kaha lagi thi usko! " She asked as she still didn't know the fact.

"Shoulder mei, bhabhi! But surgery ho chuki hai toh it's fine now! " He tried to cheer her up.

"Iski haalat dekho, yeh fine lag raha hai tumhe? " She said pointing towards Raghav who was laying on the bed and squirming in pain.

Farhaad slowly shook his head.

"Sorry Bhabhi, aaj ke baad mai aapko anna ki saari updates dunga! " He promised more to himself as he held himself responsible for Raghav's current situation. Only of he would have informed her earlier than Raghav might not had this much fever.

"Hmm but sirf sorry se kaam nahi chalega! " She said while looking at her husband intently.

"Bhabhi Maine toh puri koshish ki thi aap phir bhi mujhe punishment dengi? " He asked in a worried tone to which she shook her head.

"Nahi Farhaad! Lekin tumhaare Anna ki akal thikaane ke liye ek choti si punishment hai mere paas! Mujhe bas tumhaari help chahiye hogi usmei! " She explained him.

"Of course bhabhi! " Farhaad immediately agreed and why wouldn't he? He had successfully managed to save himself from her wrath so in return he would do anything and everything for her.

She then told him her plan and Farhaad grinned, thinking about his Anna's reaction on that.

"Bhabhi your plan is awesome! " He complimented.

"Hmm! Ab tum jao aur araam karo! " She dismissed him.

"Ji bhabhi! " He nodded his head before walking away.

Once Farhaad went out, she sighed before sitting near him on the bed.

He had taken a bullet on himself today. He must had gone through so much pain and that too alone. Without her being on his side. Her heart broke down in a million pieces on even imagining him in the situation. She even had goosebumps on realizing that it was reality and he was litrelly shot on his shoulder.

Her eyes then fell on the bandage that was peeping out from his dust coloured tee shirt. A sob almost escaped her lips before she covered her face with her hand to stop herself.
A stream of traitorous tears though still came out of her eyes as she continued to look at his pained face.

"Pallavi i miss you and i love you so much! " She heard him mumbling in his sleep and sadly smiled at that before stroking his hair lovingly.

She then remembered how she cut short her stay in the Deshmukh house as she was terribly missing him and wasn't able to even eat food properly.

"Di aap jeeju ko itna miss kar rahe ho ki aap theek se khana bhi nahi kha pa rahe? " Nikhil asked entering her room as he had already witnessed her playing with food, earlier in the dining table.

"Nahi nikhil bas uski thodi chinta ho rahi hai! Woh bohot laaparwaah hai aur usko meri aadat bhi bohot hai! " She explained him.

"Sab meri galti hai! Mujhe aapko yaha bulaana hi nahi chahiye tha! Aap phone pe kitna khush sound kar rahi thi aur yaha aake aisa lag raha hai jaise aap ho toh hamare paas lekin aapka man kahi aur hai! " He told her what he had observed in the span of just 36 hours.

"Aisa nahi hai Nikhil! Mai yaha yahi soch ke aayi thi ki Raghav thoda independent hojayega mere dur rehne se lekin ab mujhse ruka hi nahi jaa raha hai! Do din hone ko hai aur aisa lag raha hai ki saal beet gaya hai usko dekhe hue! Mai puri koshish kar rahi hu ki tum sabke saath time spend karu lekin mai kar hi nahi paa rahi hu! Mujhe Raghav ki bohot yaad aarahi hai aur shayad woh mujhse kucch chhupa bhi raha hai! I don't know ki kya but kucch toh hai! " She truthfully shared her thoughts with him and he simply smiled at her.

"Toh aap wapas kyu nahi chale jaate?" He stated as if it wasn't a big task.

"Lekin fir tum log yah.. " She started but was interrupted by him.

"Di ham aapke bina toh rehte hi hai toh reh lenge lekin aapko dekh ke lagta hai ki abhi aapko ek vitamin ki bohot zada zarurat hai! " He said with a serious face.

"Vitamin? Konsa vitamin? " She asked in a confused tone.

"Vitamin Raghav jeeju! Aur kya! " He told her as he snickered at his own joke.

"Nikhil mazaak nahi! " She warned him.

"Accha accha sorry di! Aaiye mai aapki help kar deta hu packing mei!" He said pulling out her suitcase which was kept in the corner of the room.

"Kisi ko bura... " She started off againg but he again interrupted her.

"Di jab aap ka hi man nahi lag raha hai toh aapko yaha rokna toh zabardasti hui na? Isiliye aap jao and don't worry! Take a chill pill! " He said coolly.

She shook her head at Nikhil's act and started packing her clothes.

And that was how she came here but she didn't know that a shock was awaiting her. Though she thanked God multiple times for saving his life when she wasn't there but still that was not enough. She wanted him to wake up and talk to her so that she could seep in his presence.

She could never afford to loose her only happiness the God has given in the form of him.

Next day Raghav opened his eyes weakly as though the fever was gone but weakness and body ache was still there.

He got shocked seeing Farhaad sitting on the bed beside him and not his wife.

"Farhaad Tu yaha kya kar raha hai? Aur Pallavi kaha hai? " He asked the obvious while Farhaad helped him to sit properly on the bed.

"Arey Anna aap fir bhul gaye, bhabhi toh Deshmukh house gayi hai! Woh yaha kaha se aayengi? " Farhaad told him nonchalantly.

"Jhooth mat bol! Maine behosh hone se pehle usko dekha tha! Mujhe acche se yaad hai! " He retorted as clear memory of her face from list night came to him.

"Anna aapne koi sapna dekha hoga! Yahan bhabhi nahi mai tha puri raat aapke sar pe thande paani ki pattiyan rakhi hai! " He tried to convince his boss who looked reluctantly at him.

"Tum sach bol raha hai na? " He asked narrowing his eyebrows at him.

"Ji Anna! Mai aapse jhooth kyu bolunga bhala? " Farhaad answered.

"Lekin maine toh usko touch bhi kiya tha aur woh gayab nahi hua tha toh woh... " He heard his mutter out his thoughts too loud.

"Anna woh sab chodiye, aaiye mai aapki bandage change kar deta hu! " Farhaad said.

"It's fine Farhaad! " Raghav said stopping Farhaad.

"Aise kaise? Woh keh raha hai na chup chaap change karo! " Pallavi said coming to the room and standing at the edge of the bed.

"Biwi tum! " He said in surprise.

"Bhabhi? Lekin mujhe toh koi nahi dikh raha anna! " Farhaad acted as he looked in the same direction as Raghav.

"Arey yeh saamne toh khada hai! " Raghav said hitting Farhaad lightly on the head.

"Lekin mujhe toh koi nahi dikh raha Anna! " Farhaad continued to act.

"Toh fir chashma lagaakar ghumna start karde! Yahi toh khada hai woh!" Raghav groaned.

"Chup raho! Mai sirf tumko dikhungi kyuki mai tumhaari imagination hu! " She said and Farhaad controlled his laugh somehow at that.

"Huh! Matlab yeh... " Raghav said in confused tone pointing towards Farhaad.

"Haa yeh mujhe nahi dekh payega! Ab tum apni bandage jaldi se change karwaao! " She said and he gave in.

Farhaad changed his bandages and she was about to say something when someone knocked on the door.

" Excuse me mam, aaj breakfast mei kya banana hai? " Shri, one of the servants asked standing at the entrance.

"Uhh woh curd rice and poha banega!" She told the servant and he went off.

And as soon as he went away, she turned towards Raghav again, only to get hit by a pillow which he threw her way using his uninjured left hand. Meanwhile Farhaad just chuckled at the whole scenario.

"Tum mujhe buddhu bana raha tha, biwi! " He accused her angrily.

"Iski shuruaat toh tumhi ne ki thi! " She snapped at him.

"Maine? Kab? " He asked innocently.

"Jitni bholi shakal bana rahe ho, utne bhole ho nahi tum! Tumhe goli lagi thi aur kya kaha tha tumne mujhse ki tum office mei ho! " She angrily said while throwing the same pillow, his way.

"Biwi mai patient hai! Kucch toh khyaal karo! " He said as successfully dodged the pillow but hissed in pain as his shoulder was not ready for a world war.

"Patient? Really? Yeh tumhe mujhse yeh baat chhupaane se pehle sochna chahiye tha! " She retorted back.

Farhaad who noticed the change in environment, thought to slip away from the war zone when Raghav held his arm firmly.

"Tujhe mana kiya tha na maine! Fir bhi? " He hissed.

"Anna woh aapki wife hai aur meri bhabhi! Unse kucch bhi chhupana mere liye bohot mushkil hai! "Farhaad surrendered making Raghav groan in frustration.

"Farhaad bahar jao! " She informed him.

"Ji bhabhi! " And Farhaad to get himself out of his Anna's grip but his Anna had something else in his mind.

"Yeh kahi nahi jaayega! Jo bhi saza tum dega uska 50% isko bhi do!" Raghav announced making Farhaad horrified at his misfortune.

"Farhaad agar tum nahi gaye toh hamaari raath wali baat mai bhi jaungi! " She told him

"What? No bhabhi! " Farhaad nearly cribbed.

"Raat ka baat? Konsa baat? " Raghav asked in confusion.

"Yahi ki maine bhabhi ko sab bataane ke baad maafi maang li thi aur saza se bhi bach gaya tha! Agar yaha ab kisi ko saza milegi toh woh aap hai Anna!" Farhaad explained

"Matlab ki yeh raat mei hi aagaya tha? " Raghav asked.

"Hmm! " She said confirming him.

And before he could say something else Farhaad got himself free of his grip and stood up.

"You traitor! Tumko toh mai dekhlega!" Raghav hissed but Farhaad ran out of the room and heaved a sigh of relief once he thought he was out of danger.

"Hmm! Woh toh gaya! Ab tum batao tumhaare saath kya kiya jaaye?" She asked whole walking to and from in the room.

"Chod diya jaaye because mujhe chot laga hai biwi aur fever ka weakness bhi toh hai! " He uttered taking advantage of his condition.

"Hmm! Point toh hai! " She said before giving his words a thought.

"Haina? Come here! " He said in an attempt to embrace her in his arms and get a few get well soon kisses from her.

"Ek minute! Ham tumhaari saza postpone kar dete hai jab tak theek nahi ho jaate! " She said and he nodded his head almost immediately at the same time thought to continue acting as a patient even when he would be fine in order to escape her wrath.

She then walked towards him on the bed.

"Aur agar tumhaare dimaag mei khichdi pak rahi hai ki tum mujhe apni baaton mei lagaakar punishment bhulwa doge toh bhul jao! " She said pointing her index finger at him.

'Sherlock Holmes ka naani!' He thought.

"Of course biwi! Tumse jeetna toh impossible hai! Waise bhi konsa husband apna wife se jeet paaya hai aaj tak! " He told her, putting her finger down.

"Bas baatein banwaalo tumse! Usmei toh PHD hai tumhe! " She mocked while glaring at him but he looked at her lovingly as if she wasn't scolding him but saying sweet nothings to him.

"Ab tumse hi toh seekha hai yeh baatein banaane wala talent maine!" He teased her while kissing her shoulder gently.

"Raghav kya kar rahe ho? " She asked as he kissed her jaw and neck.

"Umm kya kiya maine? " He asked rubbing his nose on her neck sensually.

"Raghav tum bimaar ho! " She informed the obvious to him.

"Hmm! So let's blame my medicines for this then! " He said pulling her swiftly under him on the bed and continued showing her how much he missed her and how addicted he was to her.
