itni paini knowledge .........aapka subject political science raha hai kya 🙂
Hi, so this is my personal opinion rather my understanding of the era n situation..
Considering the era where social reforms n its opposition were at peak, social beliefs n laws didn't go hand in hand.. rather they bound to be in inverse direction many times..
If we can take the case of Bondita, yes her any new marriage at this stage cannot be legal ( assuming bon is yet to attain the age, we are not clear about the qualifying age in BB land, Caz in actual history such law was passed much later and the age was much lesser than current qualifying age) . If she gets married with all ritual society will accept them as husband and wife.. society won't go for legal provision... Marriage and marital life is matter of social pattern n not of law according to them..
On the contrary, Ani- Bon previous marriage may be still legal.
1. Legaly declaring prevalent marriage as 'void-ab-initio' on passing of new law is nonsensical... Judiciary system shoulders big responsibility and cannot just pass retrospective laws..
2. They did not give us any clear idea if even divorce law had been passed along with child marriage in their land.. and ani sought a divorce under it..
But in social beliefs their marriage is definitely no more valid with ulte phere(
again too dramatic n not realistic)
At the end no need to think this or about any logic, Caz they are keeping it ambiguous only without any logic.. if they want to show a marriage they can show it any way and if not they won't...
Even this time Ani fails to understand that he should be part of that system where he wants to bring reforms... Being married Rudhita could have very influential stand in society against kuprathas...
I should stop here its too long already 🙆 sorry for long post
again too dramatic n not realistic)
