Okay, I am going to play the devil's advocate here and would like to mention that Shiva’s most significant problem to date has been his uncontrolled anger and his violent reactions to those angry outbursts.
Being passionate and being angry are two different things.
His hatred for this entire family was evident from Day 1, and irrespective of gender, he would have shown violent outbursts to almost everyone. Raavi being of his age and size, was the easiest target to lash out.
Am I defending him, big no!!!
Should he change, yes!
Shiva is a man who loves passionately and hates with equal vigour, but that doesn't give him a reason for violence.
Raavi’s anger for Shiva is due to his violent attack and not for he was saying to her.
She is, after all, her mother.
Will Shiva ever be able to tolerate Suman being attacked physically? No, right! So, Raavi’s anger is justified, and so is Shiva’s pain. He needs to develop a sense of sanity in handling situations without being violent, including hitting Krish, attacking Miami, pushing Raavi here and there. Also, if you notice, he had all the right words to lash out at Dev, but his tendency for a brawl gave Dev an upper hand. Sometimes, you need brains too!
I guess this is the tipping point for the metamorphosis of both Shiva and Raavi!
Shiva for having a sense of control and Raavi for seeing this marriage beyond her terrible fate!
I am coming to Shiva screaming at her! Honestly, for the first time, it seemed more like a couple’s resentment and Haq of anger rather than insulting her. Raavi became silent. There wasn't even a trace of defiance or outrage at this gesture. Sometimes, spouses handle each other’s temper or anger calmly, later pointing out their mistakes. Shiva, for the first time, scolded her with a lot of that! The similar one Raavi had exercised lashing at him during the kidnapping MU.
Do I endorse it? No, it's wrong!
But that's progress on their part.
This storm was needed for peace and future understanding.
