On marriage stuff

- my husband is a feminist but his parents are opposite and it became a major point of contention in our marriage. Because obviously initially you take up these issues with your spouse rather His parents out of respect. Anyway in time we were able to work it out.

- I call my ILs Aunty/Uncle as well, and they were livid the first few years and eventually upon enquiring I was honest that she can never be my mother / he not my father and that right has to be earned, and so far they aren’t anywhere close to how Real parents are. 🤓

- Anyway I’ve experienced archaic in-laws and while I’m respectful; I’m also brave enough to take a stand and speak up in a dignified manner if any line is crossed. Basically I don’t take $hit. Lol I know ppl talk about how Raj can be Sarla’s son lol... but it can happen lol.

@ bold: I do exact same thing. Call aunty/uncle and not mom/dad. I have been calling them aunty/uncle since I know them and they were expecting me to change it after marriage but I did not. They were not comfortable but did not force me either. I face weird looks, sarcastic questions from relatives though. But I respectfully explain my reasons. These are same as you. And I also say, calling them mom/dad wont suddenly change the kind of relationship we have.

My in-laws are orthodox in some sense like doing karwa chauth and stuff but I respectfully deny it. My partner is very individualist and liberal so he agrees with my thinking. My in-laws have more problems with my partner than me 😆 So they sort out their differences. One good thing is they expect it but never force it when we deny. They somewhere understand its our life. They are now okay with our way of life.

Just notice every FULL episode(from 1 to 41) of this show on YouTube has crossed 1+ million views. ( Except episode 59) as it's latest. Other episodes are restricted in India right now.

And also episode 40 is SET INDIA profile page most popular video. It's restriction in India was lifted this week only . It has clocked in 2.3 million views . I guess why ???🤭🤭🤭

Yesterday too pata nahi Ishqi ke samne kya kya bol rahi thi. Mard aise hote hain jaise barish mein sharabi and pata nahi kya kya.

Ahaan has so much problem with Ishqi's language. I wonder how would he react if he hears daadi saying all this stuff to his fiancee and Ishqi🤪

He'd be like, "Daadi, yeh kaisi language mein baat kar rahi hai aap?"

Ishqi be like,"French mein baat kar rahi hai. Any problem?"😛

Same...
I usually stay out of their issues but everyone in the family knows despite our differences, I will be the first one to come to their aid and help them in case something was to happen.

Chachi's firm resolve on not witnessing injustice happening to any woman, in Monday's episode, is probably an insinuation that she'll always be with Ishqi.

Imagine you get prospective grooms coming over to see you and the first and only question you ask them is, "Is your Dadi dead? Or atleast bed-ridden?"

They'd be like, Kya ajeeb ladki hai yeh🤣
