What was Mayank's Logic?

What was Mayank's logic by marrying Ishqi?

Sonu was going to get married anyways.

Had he exposed the pics - Sonu's marriage would have broken but if they went to the cops he would have 100% got caught.

Ishqi se shaadi karke he would have become a married man too - so what was the point? What does he have to gain?

May be he just wanted to humiliate Sonu, for breaking up with him. koi long term goal nahi hoga😆

Initially he said yes for marriage to Ishqi just to make Sonu jealous so that she comes back to him. Ishqi had asked one year for marriage but due to Shekar uncle's heart attack they advanced the wedding. In fact, there is a scene where Mayank was trying to convince Ishqi to say no to marriage so early. It was not very evident but they hinted this.

Later, when Sonu was not accepting his proposal and was happy with Raj, he just wanted to break her wedding. At the end he knew Sonu will not come to him so he wanted his revenge by breaking her marriage. He did not care if he gets married to Ishqi, he would have anyways cheated her with other girls and live his life.

He did not want to do it openly. If he had done, Ahaan would have sent him jail. He was doing everything anonymously that's why he deleted CCTV footage. He might have made sure they would not trace the photos back to him

Had it been sent via email; anyone can hide their traces, But he was using Mobile to send messages. Most definitely he would have been caught. She should have taken help for sure - it would have avoided this huge mess it has created. It wasn't handled well IMO - she should have taken Karthik or Ahaan - someone into confidence by requesting them to meet her alone. It would have saved Mayank's father the heart attack.

I don't think Ishqi handled it well by hiding and not confiding in anyone.

There is no logic here. If you use logic, lot of things would not have happened at all. And if all characters did what is so obvious, story won't move further easily.

It is actually a challenge to write a story that captivates the viewer without actually losing common sense and all, I doubt ITV stories are capable of doing that except for a handful.

What I don't understand is, what is he going to achieve by coming and attacking Ishqi now? If I were him, I would never come in front of her. Is he planning to kill her? If yes, Does anyone know he is at the resort?
