+1000 To all the discussion about Imlie nosediving as a character AY & Naadan. We have been trying to figure her out since the contrived BS is dhokebaaz misunderstanding.

Sometimes we extrapolate it to her insecurity issue, sometimes to guilt, sometimes to her not being ready to actively start a married life. But CVs are not bothered to show what her issue is. Clarity of thoughts is lacking for me to support her one way or another. This as we have discussed before is to prop up Didi. No other reason is there for keeping her in this limbo of confusion.

Why Adi is being blamed for her lack of clarity or stand? He is clear in his understanding, thoughts & actions with her since day 1. He tells her what he actually wants to happen. He confesses his feelings to her again & again. He has been even buried alive for his injustice against her by SK & has explained himself & been accepted by even SK & Meethi. Now what more can he do if Imlie is not telling him what her actual problem is. He has asked her about that as well many times. But she just uses Didi ki happiness ka excuse. So I do not find any issue if he gets frustrated & gives her an ultimatum to select what she actually wants.

Imlie's naivety & young age cannot be used to excuse her wishy-washy behaviour. If she cannot trust BS's love declarations for her then she has to speak it out loud & ask him those difficult questions. She has asked him far more difficult questions & questioned his behaviour earlier when he actually had not given her any haq. Now when he has given her the haq to ask anything she is not asking him the questions. That is just stupidity.

My conclusion is that writers are deliberately keeping her in this zone to keep Adi-Imlie separated & prop up Didi. That is it.

Right where is the imlie who bajaooed him left right and center telling him ke he has everything it is her who is lonely it her life which is over with her dreams shattering just before dil se Where is the imlie who usse bhi pehle during the police episode even before AM engagement bajaooed him ke khush fehmi hai iski ke he is alone suffering asal suffering toh imlie ki hai as she is alone in big bad city then too and that was a kid imlie ab ki imlie ke muqabble main who now goes to college and has settled in city life that vulnerable darri hui imlie had more guts clarity and resilience no wonder we appreciated and connected she was majboor in ways but also fighting back and doing everything in her control actually fighting for the rishta in whatever way she could not this lost abla mahaan character who has no bhuddhi bas bimbo banana hai I do not know what to root for jab she is either gaooing didi ke Gungaan or being mariyal abla soul or trying to push adi back and if not all this then being involved in forced comedy even that has been made so ehh now.. kahan yehi imlie SM ka dimmag khate huye during the kaddi cooking episode the most recent extra loud imlie wale her zone main bhi was super endearing and was khushi ki chaabi har taraf light bitterness wali but ab iski wohi light and wohi purity dial down karke ek dum forced kar do.. how am I supposed to connect jab she has no coherence and ST cannot uthao the bhoj of poor writing .. the girl gives it her all but there is so much she can salvage with her charm. They are deliberately making imlie another trp bahu Jinka dimaag vimaag hota nahi hai bas blind bhakti wale hote hain.. jo bhi kar lein justified.. wohi ho raha hai.. It sucks to see her being a shell of her previous self and I want meri jhalli back the one who knows what she wants who has clarity of thoughts who is naive who knows how to handle adi the pahaad jaisa aadmi who becomes his mom and then a kid with him who just knew how to balance her naivety with her wisdom who was "OUR" imelia .. the one jiski Ek jhalak was enough to fill our hearts with rainbows. Who could alone handle the poora ghar /gaoon/ shehar with utmost intelligence and playfulness and could show maturity and sensitivity when needed. In nutshell Mumbai wali imelia chahiye

Sorry, just caught up with today's episode kyunki aaj kal episodes aren't jusr seeming to be on the mark lol. One thing is who is really interested in didi-kc lollipop diaries apart from those who are actually desirous in doing so?

First of all, no buildup, random ishara from SM about KC existing for real and then forcing another lawyer and imlie was the one who approached him for support and hasn't explicitly told malini to have a backup lawyer or whatever --- complete hogwash.

We really miss the original Imlie. This current version is I don't know who. Pata nahi when we will get back our Imlie😒.

Jaane doh, I have now ranted enough for days about the show. I think I will stop ranting the next time but something or the other pisses me off & I start ranting again😆.

Now I am doing a rewatch of ZGH after a long time. What a class show. Though it also had contrived MUs in the end at least their character sketches did not change drastically.

Okay I want to put something out there that has been running in my mind since the suicide episode. Is it possible that Imlie somehow has been so emotionally affected by Malini's suicide, more than she is letting on. Is that why her entire demeanor has changed ever since that incident that she has become so sehmi and muted, that she no longer looks and feels like the older Imlie. Again I am just putting this out there to make some sense of the current character that seems 180 degrees opposite to what we know of her. Does she think that keeping Adi in a limbo or pushing him towards Malini will help him move away from her, as she feels the guilt if driving someone to take their life. I know this is the same Imlie who saved Rupi di from taking the same step and explained the importance of self love, but there the onus was on someone else. Here because she has become the centre point and the reason for all this upheaval, her guilt levels have gone through the roof and nothing Adi says or does seem to work on her. That is why she is putting off telling the family as that will finally make her face her fears which she does not want to. Though why they made her flip in the middle regarding the entire dhokebaaz angle does not fit in my theory and makes me confused again as to why have they made such a khichdi when they do not know how to fit the characterization to make to story move forward in the correct way.

Please don't mind if my post seems like a khichadi, but I just wanted to make sense of what I have been seeing just so that I can continue to watch with some kind of connect.

BTW I have been asking for the Mumbai wali Imlieya and Adi for some time and have constantly asked where are those writers, coz the entire show has been going of track ever since they came to Hyderabad.

She claims adi is her pyaar her sab kuch adi has told her in clear shabd ke kuch parda nahi hai kisi tarah ka that this very thing he appreciates toh idk why can't she just grab his hand and be like suno meri baat plz.. and atleast share the basics .. adi has now countless times has raised this question to her too ke why she thinks she is alone in this rishta? That this isn't her call alone that it is his as much as hers that there are 2 people in rishta she doesn't have to keep putting him and their rishta down to be some mahaan hasti and insult him yet imlie doesn't bother sharing her actual insecurities.. why can't she bother to atleast give him the very basic ke darr kyon hai agar hai what is holding her back.. why is she finding the excuses why can't she see themselves as a unit.. when has adi denied her the shoulder and ear to listen she will have to share itna with him for him to work on these issues na caz whatever basic understanding he has is not enough and only going to create misunderstandings as it is he thinks she doesn't consider him anything and well he isn't that far off with it either kabhi daya bolti hai kabhi dhoka kabhi bolti hai ke main hoon hi nahi bas didi hi sab hai what is he supposed to think then.. imlie ko bhi kuch step.lene padega for them to resolve the issues basic being sharing ke why is she always in this ke bas mera akele ka rishta hai and rishta hai and rishte wale ki kadar nahi hai ..ab adi aur kaise pooche kaunsi zabaan hai jo yeh samjhegi. What will it take for her to do basic vishwaas ..again I find it amusing that she had that vishwaas on him before when they were in denial kitna haq se dikha deti thinber faith in him but ab ajeeb hi zone main hai

Bas convenience ke liye imlie ko dumb blind bana do jab yehi ladki sab bata deti thi isse and could share sab kuch ek dum flow main but ab randomly she has to suppress with no clarity of thought atlesst his suppression earlier made sense had a clear reasoning they Don't bother giving the audience that basic reasoning of imlie ki flips roz ek naya reason assume karo and then that too gets justified amazing

This is exactly what I have been looking for in the last 2 weeks ever since Adi gave his heartfelt confession. Why have we not got a glimpse to what Imlie is thinking. Why the girl who herself said that when she is around BS she feels safe and secure is not able to tell him why she cannot move ahead with her relationship. I understand she is scared, but then woh conversation kahaan hai. Jis ladki ne Adi se is nakal wale incident pe pucha that ki ab kya, what do you think about me now, woh ladki ko kya hua jab Adi ne use har tareeke se bata diya ke what he thinks about her now and how he arrived at those feelings. Why have we not yet received an introspection on Imlie's feelings the way Adi did. Why is the central character so ignored, that everyone else is having growth, yet she has regressed. All I want from the makers is a simple conversation. No dance, no chipka chipki, no romantic cliches as well. Just a simple conversation between 2 people on what they want from each other. And I will not blame Adi here in anyway, because his character has always been a straight shooter and has always asked Imlie about what she wants. My worry with the ultimatum remains the same. Again she will make a decision to suit Adi rather than introspect or have a conversation with him on why she wants to see Malini settle first. My issue with the ultimatum is not with Adi, but with the makers. They will use this as an excuse to close that chapter without giving us one scene to tie up lose ends. Matlab is show ke writers 1 aisa scene nahi likh sakte to close these loops. Aisa thodi hai ki in loops ko close karke conflict hi khatam ho jayega. It is not that there cannot be other issues that will crop up. But is loop ko toh bandh karo, taaki we also feel like we have some semblance of our show back, rather than this depressive and illogical set of episodes that we have been watching.
