Hirani will always be one of my favourite directors👍🏼

Hirani has such a short filmography in like 30 years career. Other than munna bhai and 3 idiots his other movies are not that special. Rajamouli might not had a better movies than those but overall he is definitely better.

Rajmouli has mostly directed regional cinema, which I don't watch.

Bahubali isn't something I can rate according to. It's like saying James Cameron is a great director based on Avatar.

So obviously Hirani

Rajamouli relies on grandeur rather than storytelling , his earlier movies were atrocious.

I need both option😁 I like them both.. I respect rajmouli as he brought tollywood to next level❤❤ almost all movies of him are super hits in tollywood.. I like his vision n hard working nature and also he is very ground to earth person.. I don't know abt much abt hirani.. Bt I loved his 3 idiots movie n watched it 20 plus times..and also watched pk and sankar dada mbbs so many times ( munna bhai remake) even though I'm rajmouli fan I didn't watch any of his movies more than 3 times except sye and yamadonga..

Question is who is a better director (not filmmaker), so it is obviously Rajamouli, since Hirani relies alot on the screenplay of his films to be great.

Both of them has different style of story telling.

Both of them appeal to both masses and classes.

Both of them fill your hearts with emotions but in different style.
