Saw a few clips of today's episode. It is evident that Virat carries a lot of guilt over Pakhi's haalat. He has mixed feelings - on one hand he has realised that what Virakhi had was just infatuation and is irritated with Pakhi for clinging to that endlessly. But he is also feeling sorry for Pakhi because while he got an opportunity to move on, she didn't. But apart from these, I think there is also a guilt - that he is somehow responsible for Pakhi's condition. That his stupid vaada got her into this mess - where she is without a husband and unable to forget her past too. After all, both Virat and Pakhi genuinely believed that what they had was undying love that would last a lifetime - it was only after Virat's blossoming relationship with Sai that he realised the fallacy of that presumption.
What he doesn't know is that in a lot of ways Pakhi was still responsible for her own fate. She too made wrong decisions as much as Virat. The difference between Pakhi and Virat is in the ability to accept reality. If Virat had been single and Pakhi has fallen in love with Samrat, Virat would have accepted that without resentment.
The question that came to my mind is : is guilt the reason for Virat's reluctance in coming clean with Sai regarding his past with Pakhi? Is he scared that Sai will judge him harshly since he himself blames himself in this issue? Is he perhaps ashamed of the vaada-kaand because it caused a lot of mess in the lives of Samrat, Pakhi, Virat, Sai (from Virat's POV).
