Gul's sure shot formula for a popular TV series:

1. The male lead is an angry young man with a dark past/troubled childhood, is at least a millionaire, has a joint family where he is the most important figure in some way (everyone looks up to him, most of them are intimidated by him, the world stops spinning when he's not there etc.)
2. Male lead has an unhealthy obsession over naam, khoon, khaandan, sanskaar, rishtey (family, lineage and values) all sorta stuff. Only him and his family come from the Homo Sapiens insaan ka bloodline and everyone else are dirty, disgusting vermin.

3. A diametrically opposite female lead. Loves colors, anything that is remotely heart-shaped, lives to laugh, always volunteering to help complete strangers no matter what, dies for her apne and will do anything to fix Munna-Munni, Chhota-Chhoti, Sonu-Bablu-Chintu's 366 problems even if it physically kills her in the process because #HumanityRox.

4. Leads meet --> leads hate each other's guts-->leads unknowingly fall for each other and has a LOT of 'farak padta hai' moment --> get drunk (individually or in turns) and almost/kinda sorta confess but completely forget/ignore the incident the next day --> new guy (most likely a creep) and new girl (most likely a future vamp) come into the picture to romance the FL and ML respectively. Again, lots of farak padta hai, jealousy and staring intensely into each other.

5. Engagements that the audience knows will NEVER end in a marriage. HUGE misunderstanding leading the ML to really, really hate the FL #4Lyfeee. I mean, the-world-could-end-and-I-will-never-forgive-you kinda hate. FL NEVER trying to do the sensible and realistic thing and taking the self-humiliation route because being mahaan is in, baby 😎. Separation, Part I (because YES, there will be at least a few hundreds more in the distant future).

6. Ten thousand episodes later, after the oceans have dried out and the audience are dead, have stopped/paused watching because mental health is more important, or are still with the show because they are hope and patience personified (my respect for them), the ML finally learns the truth and has a brief moment of sadness and regret. If lucky, there will be about 10-15 episodes on the "redemption track", give or take. FL forgives him because ML's pain and his puppy eyes >>>> the wholesale humiliation FL faced so far.

7. Love blossoms. No one confesses because what is language? How are words formed? No one knows 😢

-- I could go on but saying anything after this would probably be a spoiler and I may not be selfless AF as a Gul FL, I'm still nice enough 😊

Disclaimer: No offense, I just needed to rant because since I started binging the show, the storyline seemed eerily familiar, and up until this wedding fiasco I didn't realize it was another GK show. After having spent 10+ years watching ALL her shows (even my DP is from Ishqbaaaz for crying out loud), the least I can expect is a different storyline? The only thing different about this show is that it's being aired on Sony. Much wow.

Well you said it alll....for those who isnt aware of gul and her shows should read this.absolutely perfect
