Where is here??

Rings are important, but they're things. They're symbolic of the commitment and that's where it ends. A symbol.

With Shaurya, he's not at all committed to this engagement, so it seems like a prop.

I'm trying to understand why it's seen as one or the other. And if it is seen like that, why we would want to perpetuate this???

Are women not capable of being a student, a spouse, and a parent, all at the same time???

Here's my funda. If feminism means a woman balancing career and family at the same time, it can also mean a women balancing studies and family at the same time. There is no defined rule that a woman must marry after she has completed her studies. As long as hubby is supportive anything can be possible. Else what is the point that you graduate, have your career for 4/5 years, get married then stay at home for the next 40 years?

Of course it's a prop in Shaurya's case. I was talking in general.

Here means Central America

I am giving my cousin example my cousin had inter caste love marriage after completing her PhD, after some years she got admission at Stanford University for MBA n guess what by brother in law n his mother are my sister's biggest supporter.

It depends on their own mentality, it's not whether u r desi or not but own person mentality.

For me feminism is, whatever the female chooses. So I'm supportive of a woman who choose to be home full time or the one that chooses to work full time.

But I think culturally, education is seen as something to elevate yourself in the marriage market, not as something to actually use to further your life. I know it's slowly changing, but the thought is still pervasive.

Oh okay. I'm in the US. Engagements are important. But where I come from in India, engagements are done now due to it being a trend, but it's not really culturally important. Engagements can break because it's just family's pledging something. Weddings are filled with rituals because it's where the commitment is solidified.

I only visit MF posts that someone will share in the EDT/CC or tag me in.

Like you said, it was totally a filler episode.

Did you feel like they were pitting them against each other?? The title of the show clearly tells people who's endgame. So any third/fourth angle will feel out of place. Ahir is a better option than Shagun has been.

I like Aahir as a person. But I am not able to connect with him wanting to express his feelings so soon after her breakup. Yes, he wanted to say he is ready to wait. But the timing doesn’t work for me personally.
I meant the writers are pitching to show Aahir Is a more practical choice coz he is willing to wait for her to complete her goals, whereas Shaurya doesn’t have that outlook as of yet.

Also you are right, Aahir is better any day than Shagun. But I personally, don’t enjoy third angles. Be it male or female. But it’s ITV, they can’t write a story without third angle.

I think we all got a kick out of the pills scene for Devi and the car scene for Shagun. I don't understand how no one is questioning that Shaurya is unhappy with this forced engagement. That small scene with Gayatri and Kanchan was so sad. Gayatri has resigned herself to her fate and is wishing it on her bahu.

I completely forgot to address the Gayatri Kanchan scene. Yes, it is so sad that Gayathri has completely given up and resigned herself to her fate. N she expects the same from her Bahu. But Kanchan is not going to do it. I sincerely hope the writers don’t show her going back to being the obedient bahu after how they showed her recently. Kanchan should not be shushed or merged into the background like Gayatri.

That ring scene was confusing......Is he taking it off because he doesn't want the engagement news to spread on campus?? Because he hasn't been trying to hide it from Anokhi. Who's going to question a random ring??

I feel he is just vexed with the ring. N since he Can’t take it out at home, he is taking it out here. I dunno. It’s confusing.

Man, we've been building up that heartbreak.......like we're inviting it in with open arms. Shaurya needs to really understand how his Sabherwal loyalty will hurt Anokhi. It's better it happens now than as Anokhi fears later like it did with Aastha.

I guess without this heartbreak he will never understand. Until he temporarily loses her, he will not know how to fight for her. It’s gonna be heartbreaking, but I am prepared. I want Aastha to be there for them both in that period.

The new precap makes it seem like they want to address the Professor/Student dynamic. I'm not sure it needed addressing, but people seem to want it.

yeah. I am not sure what direction it’s gonna take. Let’s see.

Overall, I'm glad to have Ahir know the truth. Very interested in this new Delhi thing. So much to look forward to. Seems like Saturday will be a Shakilicious episode!!

Yes it sounds interesting. I am hoping we are on a high this Saturday too, like last.😍😍

Replies in bold. 😊

Love the responses!!

So Delhi probably has students scenes, which they’re filming now. It looks like the baarish scenes must be post-Delhi, which KV already shot, so he’s back in Mumbai!

Or all shooting is done....they’re all just dropping random videos. And yesterday’s live was them enjoying before leaving!
Let’s see if Mumbai allows shooting to restart in June!

so episode....Anokhi not picking up Shaurya’sphone call but picking up Ahir’s in the beginning??? He needs to change his phone number or hide his number! Remember how guilty she felt with not picking up his calls pre-kidnapping! Y’kno she wants to pick up....just don’t want to encourage his behavior....but nonetheless Shaurya Sabherwal will not be stopped from romancing his biwi!!

Ohh yes! Dude that mighty p*sees me off all the time. And when she walks away. I’m like girl.. that’s not cool! “Bado ki baat sunna chaahiye” lol .😂

Well for now let’s blame it on her immaturity/ age. Who is ziddi or dheet here? Miyan biwi giving tough competition to each other in that area 😁😁

I think so far the story is going along ok, even with filler episodes. Actually it should’nt have felt like a filler. Anokhi- Ahir scene was long pending. It’s a refreshing change thought from other shows, not to see zoomed in faces and shocked stares and reactions of the 10,000’family members or so. 🤪 Hope they all get to go back home soon and reach Safe and sound! I’ll miss the Hyd scenes though when they are done with the shoot. Want to see them again in those beautiful gardens with the pond 😍
