He was not jealous but definitely insecure thought he was not good enough for Mullai😕 But Mullai worked hard to get him out of that phase. You also have to remember Kathir is an introvert, keeps to himself or just talks to Kaka at the store. The only common thing between him and Shiva is that both love their family immensely, will do anything for them.

Nope, we never a had a jealous or possessive kathir track, though his possessiveness was somewhat seen in some of his dialogues much later after they consummated

A lot of focus was placed on his insecurities though

They showed mullai's possessiveness for him multiple times

Kathir never got jealous.

I think it's more cos of the faith he had in mullai, tht whatever happens she will never leave.

In one track mullai will be little scared if he will doubt her relation with jeeva (dev). But kathir assures her tht she doesn't need to explain all tht to him.

Kathir kept distance from mullai just cos of his insecurities, and thought that mullai deserved a better life and partner.

We did get a small track of jealous mullai though.

I don't know about the original versions but here i really want to see a possessive and protective shiva if not jealous
