I wish people would come out of their extreme prejudices n watch SAAKK for what it is. SAAKK is about two flawed individuals. People just want perfect/flawless leads, who don’t have any shade of grey in them.
Every one of us have a shade of grey in us.
Shaurya’s flaws are his impulsiveness, his soch and his blind love for BM that doesn’t see through her manipulation. Does it make him a bad person? No! At the core he is that vulnerable child who lost both his parents at 4(it makes me mad when people ignore a lifetime of pain). So he is trying everything he can, so that he doesn’t lose Anokhi. The one person who has loved him for his heart. Yes he is being silly and naughty, but not without her liking. He is not forcing himself on her.(This makes me so mad). Also yes he is avoiding conflicts by not telling about Aastha and dealing with things properly first, but isn’t that human nature? We tend to avoid conflicts. No one wants to head into confrontation right away. Is he inviting trouble for himself yes. But is he doing it out of malicious intent, not at all. He just wants to find a little happiness with the one person who brings him peace, I don’t fault him one but for it. As for the engagement he has been wanting and trying to tell her about it.
Even Anokhi has her set of flaws and greys. Will do a separate comment for that.
Both of them are imperfect and I love that about them. Coz it makes them human n real for me. People are not black n white. I wish some people understand it.
My mood which was on a high since morning is completely spoilt now. 🤦♀️🙄
I don't like the shows where leads are perfect, if even one of them is perfect...it gets really preachy n boring. I like this show because these two are not perfect. Just yesterday only I said, I find their love quite shallow yet. But that doesn't mean it's not true love. It is just the beginning ya! They have to take that journey together. Sab pehle se hi ideal raha toh maza kya aaega fir dekhne mein!
Heck, our own real love stories are not perfect from the beginning. If I look back, I realise how far I have come in my relationship, how naive we used to be earlier. Yeh toh fictional characters hain, there are going to be some flaws and frictions! We are so used to over romanticised love stories that we can't digest the real ones! I mean...an honest love confession just in the flow, a first night without roses n all decoration, keeping a distance from your loved one yet loving them at heart and having our own weak moments in the process, doing everything in our might just to see our love happy...how real all this is!!!
I have issues with Shaurya forcefully getting married to her and with anokhi putting that condition. But I would have those issues if these two were normal people. Knowing their past, I can't have these issues with them. All anokhi wants is her identity and right to choose. She is not able to communicate properly, that's her flaw...that's okay! Come on, what a long day it was, we are on the same day yet, give her some time to ponder upon the whole thing!! And she has never refused loving Shaurya, she never said she'll move on, she has always said that she will forever love him, but it's practically right to end this here. So if shaurya knows she loves him, he knows he loves her, he is willing to change as she wants, then why should he not continue expressing his love? If anokhi loves him, wants to spend her life with him, if she feels he will take efforts for her, why should she disregard this marriage? Did you notice all the moments she reminisces as she calls herself Mrs anokhi shaurya Sabherwal? They were not random romantic moments, they were the ones where he apologized to her beating his own ego and brought her back so that she continues her education (car scene), where he stood by her and fought for her (rustication), where he protected her (riots), where he didn't bother about the world but her feelings (getting drenched in the rain only to barge in in her hostel room because she would be mad at him for the restaurant drama)! This shows, in her subconscious mind, she knows he has always taken efforts for her and he'll be by her side always! She's only seeking validation now because of the insecurities created in her mind by the situation and Shagun! Likewise, Shaurya has seen her fighting for the right and never leaving the side of the ones she loves, he has seen her innocent n tender love for him, he has seen the happiness she feels in his proximity, he is believing in the chance that she has given him and he has confidence in his love that he will do everything for her. He was not even willing to call her thinking she must be mad, she must have wiped off the sindoor, he was only thinking about her condition. But then he saw the sindoor on her maang and he has got that confirmation that she is willing to give their marriage a chance. Since then, he is behaving husband like! What's wrong in that then? If you see, he has said this to anokhi n aastha both, he is ready to do everything, he is ready to change himself entirely...all he wants is an acknowledgement for his efforts! Just acknowledge that he will turn the world around for her! That sindoor is his acknowledgement... acknowledgement of her love, acknowledgement of his efforts, acknowledgement of their marriage...that keeps him going!
And forget all this, let's face it...we would have been super drained by today if they continued rona dhona since Saturday. Personally, I loved the sat-mon episodes, but I felt so exhausted. I wanted the light moments like before. I appreciate the writers for balancing the serious and light moments so beautifully. Let alone the track, let alone the episode, not even a scene is totally emotional or totally romantic or totally comedy. Today's scene had romance, light moments and serious talk... everything blended together so nicely! This is sign of good writing where you can present and connect all the emotions together! I appreciate the team for what they are giving us!!👏
