Lol! I think more than symbolism / ritual it’s probably that one thing for Anokhi to show that she still loves and believes in him. She is guarded when it comes to displaying affection, which Shaurya doesn’t shy away from.. like at all!😁

For Shaurya, to see her sindoor, it’s a reaffirmation that there is hope after whatever he did. But eventually he’ll have realize the consequences of his haste actions.
