Part 13
Pakhi’s pov
I was happy that after many months I am going out of this hell hole. It will be a refreshing change for me. Yes, I hate this place. You cant wear your choice of clothes, cant work outside, heck! Cant even eat of your choice, who will enjoy living here? That Sai is so right sometimes when she says that this Chavan niwas is nothing but a jail and Kaku is the jailor who keeps threatening everyone. Ninad and Omi mama are just kaku’s faithful servants.
I detest this place as much as that Sai does but I am not stupid enough like her to say it front of everyone and ruin my image and also the privilege I am getting by being kaku’s favourite bahu.
I know kaku had own reasons to favour me. She wants to show mirror to Sai. No one really cares about me in true senses but if it gives me an upper hand over Sai then I am fine with it.
This weekend trip will be a good opportunity for me to start things again with Virat, this time as his friend but only I know that my feelings for him will not change and this friendship facade is just an excuse to earn his trust back.
Sai’s pov
I was no mood to go on this trip whatsoever. Come on yaar, it was my first chance to be with Virat alone and kaku gang ruined it too. And on the top of that, Pakhi didi, she is trying to be extra sweet since yesterday.
“I bet its her new strategy to trouble you. First, be extra sweet and irritate the hell out of you then be bechari in front of everyone and then scream beizzatti at the pettiest of argument.” My inner voice reminded me but I couldn’t care less. All I knew was that Pakhi didi ruined my mini honeymoon.
“Sai, what is this? We are just going for two days. You have packed so many things. Who will carry these three heavy suitcases?” Virat asked me as he scrutinized our luggage.
“Whats wrong in it? Girls are always prepared; we keep many dresses even if they are not required. And so many people are there with us so why are you worrying about carrying luggage?” I taunted in reply.
“If this is our honeymoon then why do you need dresses anyway?” Virat winked at me and I couldn’t help but blush.
But then I had to comeback with a reply, “This is family picnic, if you hadn’t already noticed.”
He didn’t reply anything which was unusual. Normally Virat would have argued with me for sometime over it. I saw his face, he had a mischievous smile on his face.
“He is upto something.” My inner voice concluded. But before I could have asked anything he went out.
Virat’s pov
I know Sai was waiting for this weekend trip since whole week and I had promised her to make it special for her then how could I let it ruined. So I came up with this mindblowing plan, courtesy, my friend Sunny, where we all would leave house for same place but in the midway I’ll take Sai to a totally different place where no one will disturb us. I have taken Mohit into confidence already. I knew he being a husband and my brother will understand my problem. He will manage Karishma, Shivani bua and Pakhi at Panchmari resort.
After sometime we all came down to the hall and bid goodbye to the family. As we were so many people so we had to take two cars. I had already planned that I will sit with Sai and will leave fast not giving any chance to anyone to hop in our car and as per the plan Mohit will come later with every one.
Everything was as per plan, when at last minute Pakhi followed me to my car. I panicked, now how to say no to her? I didn’t want to sound rude as we became friends again just few days ago. Then like a saviour Mohit came there and took Pakhi aside making some excuse.
“Virat dada, you guys go, we will follow you.” Mohit shouted and without wasting any time I started the car.
Pakhi’s pov
I dont know whats the problem with this Mohit? I was going to sit with Virat when he stopped me and took me aside.
“Vahini, aap ek bahut important baat to bhul hi gayi.” Mohit said.
“Kya?” I asked.
“Arre aapne kaku ka ashirvaad nahi liya.” Mohit said and at that moment I wanted to bang his head in the nearby wall.
Really? Is he for real? He is the ‘naalayak beta’ of family. Why suddenly he found so much sanskaar in him. But obviously, now that he mentioned that loudly in front of everyone, I had to plaster a fake smile on my face and take blessing from kaku to maintain my charades of ‘aadarsh bahu’
But I merely bowed down to touch kaku’s feet when this good for nothing Mohit told Virat to go with Sai and untill I could have understood anything Virat swished away in his car and I couldn’t do anything except cursing Mohit under my breath.
Then I noticed his expressions, he looked happy and excited like he achieved something. I smell something fishy in the situation. My doubt got further strong when we were 50kms away from our destination and Virat took a different route.
“Hey! I think Virat took the wrong turn. Call him Mohit. Ask him to come back.” I urged.
“Vahini, Virat dada must have taken shortcut to reach earlier to complete all the formalities. Let it be. Wo koi bachhe thode hi na hain jo kho jayenge.” Mohit replied giggling and all I could do was hold my patience somehow.
Then when we finally arrived at our resort in Panchmari, I got to know that there are only three rooms booked, one for Mohit-Karishma, one for Shivani bua who had also invited her boyfriend Amay, he was supposed to join us in evening and last room for me.I finally confronted Mohit and asked him directly about Virat and Sai.
“Actually, sorry vahini and shivani bua, I hid the details from you but it was Virat dada’s instruction. He and Sai vahini will not come here. They are gone to another holiday resort which is 50km away from here. Its their first outing and they wanted to spend some alone time. We all understand that, isn’t it?” Mohit gave explanation and everyone else laughed at it like it was some great joke.
I wanted to punch that Mohit right across his face. I tried to ask him the name and location of the resort where Virat and Sai went but the little piece of shit didn’t even tell me that.
“Offo, chhodo na Patralekha, tum jaankar kya karogi Virat aur Sai kaha gaye hain? Unko apna mini honeymoom enjoy karne do aur tum bhi yaha enjoy karo.” Shivani bua advised and I couldn’t say anything after that.
“Sai’s pov
I was about to stop Virat when he took the turn while the other car went on straight. But he just smiled and didn’t stop.
“Why are you laughing like this?” I asked suspiciously.
“Sai Joshi, aaj tumhe pata chalega ki Virat Chavan kya cheez hai.” Virat said and winked at me.
I kept asking him where are we going, where are the others but he didn’t answer till we reached our destination. It was a beautiful adventure resort at the outskirts of Panchmari. We went to the reception and there I found only we will be here, rest have gone to Panchmari.
“Wow! So actually the honeymoon is still on. He did this only for you. How romantic?” My inner voice concluded.
“Shut up! He is not romantic. He is khadoos jasus.” I reminded her.
“Ya, ya...come on keep blushing and drooling over him. Accept it that you loved his gesture and the idea.” My inner voice teased me and I couldn’t reply anything.
“Why you didn’t tell me this before?” I asked Virat.
“Because it was a surprise for you.” Virat replied as he held my hand and we followed the bellboy who took our luggage to our room.
“What was the need to do this, if anyone comes to know at home then they will taunt you, they will say that you are becoming joru ka ghulam day by day.” I shared my views.
“First of all, I dont think other will tell anyone anything back at home because they all understand the situation and even if the elders came to know then I dont mind, I will face their taunts. I had promised you that this weekend it will be only you and me away from house. I had to honour my promise. I never break them, you know it.” Virat replied.
Virat’s pov
As soon as we entered our room, Sai blushed. It was resort’s royal suite and it was decorated specially with Sai’s favourite flowers as per my instructions.
“What is all this?” Sai turned towards me and asked.
“I wanted to make you feel special. You know, we had quite unusual rough start of our marriage and now that we are getting that couple feeling slowly so I thought why not take this weekend trip as an opportunity to start it over again where we wont have prejudice against each other and try to understand each other better.” I explained.
Sai didn’t say anything. She just nodded and smiled. I felt it was a genuine smile. She liked what all I did but after few seconds she was lost somewhere in her thoughts. Before I could have asked her the reason she suddenly looked up and came running in my arms. She kissed me out of nowhere. I wasn’t ready for it so I couldnt react for few seconds but then took the lead and started kissing her with equal vigor.
Sai’s pov
For few minutes I couldn’t believe Virat did all that for me. I didn’t know what to make out of all this.
“He is falling for you too. Its simple.” My inner voice prompted.
“But he didn’t say anything like that.” I countered.
“Didnt he say, he wants to start all over again? And dont you dare lie to me, you are liking all this right? All this attention from him, your heart flutters everytime.” My inner voice argued.
“Its true but....” I tried to argue but my inner voice just shut me up by diverting my attention.
“Why dont you stop thinking for a while and not ruin this moment. Look at Virat, wont you thank him for all this....come one go ahead, get settled in those strong arms. Taste those lips.”
I looked at Virat, he was looking at me intensely. Oh! That gaze, I cant hold myself whenever he gives me that look. I ran to him and hugged him tightly. He immediately put his arms around my waist and tilted his head to one side. He smiled looking at me and I lost it, I kissed him on the lips pouring out my feelings and got a response from him after few seconds. He started nibbling my lips, biting in between and his hands started feeling me up all over my clothes.
I felt he was pushing me towards the bed and before I could have stopped him, we both fell down on bed. He broke the kiss and started nuzzling around my neck and cleavage. He was about to pull off my dupatta when I stopped him somehow.
“What?” He groaned in frustration.
“Have patience, not now. Abhi aaye hain aur bas abhi shuru ho gaye. I want to sit back, relax and look around the resort.” I explained as I pushed him away.
“Boring.” He pouted like a cute kid and I couldn’t help but laugh.
I pulled his cheeks. “We have whole two days to ourselves. So just stop brooding like a bratty kid and show me around.
He agreed reluctantly and we went down to explore the place.
