He thought he won't let the Sagai thing to go to that grandeur. After BM is recovered, he was simply going to throw the ring off as nobody except for those 3 knew about it. He didn’t even tell Kanchan. But somehow everybody got to know it and the situation is going out of hand.

Seriously yahi hoga Anokhi thoda bahut Shaurya ko apna maane lagegi tabhi usse engagement ka jhatka lagega .... Shaurya ko usse bata dena chahiye tha bahut weird lag raha ussi haath mai engagement ring and ussi haath mai Anokhi ko lagaya sindoor🤢

That ring doesn’t mean anything to him. He threw it away but thanks to stupid Kanchan for returning it 🤢

However, he has later worn it by himself. So, engagement is not valid, it's just a gaudy piece of ornament for him🤣
