There have been enough Khan Vs Khan wars but this Independence Day will see Abhishek Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor clashing at the box office.
The two have a history. Ranbir Kapoor said no to the Bachchans' Unforgettables Tour which is going to start from July because of his cousin Karisma's broken engagement to Abhishek. Also, the Bachchans are pretty close to Yash Raj so this is definitely a big clash in the making.
However, a source from Eros, who are distributing Drona told us, "We have decided to stick to the original schedule, in order to take advantage of the Independence Day weekend, which also has the additional 'raksha bandhan' holiday. We believe that though the one film old Ranbir Kapoor has a lot of potential he will not be so much of a threat to the already established star, Abhishek Bachchan.
Moreover, both the movies are as different as chalk and cheese and hence will not cut into each other's business. Drona has some unbelievable scenes which is completely done by Abhishek. But we are only worried of the fact that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika's affair is making headlines at this moment."
Yash Raj Films' Bachna Ae Haseeno directed by Siddharth Anand will seen Ranbir romancing three beauties - Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu and Minisha Lamba while Goldie Behl's Drona in which Abhishek Bachchan is playing a superhero and Priyanka Chopra his bodyguard is a complete action flick.
