The movie was all over the place, maybe Imtiaz wanted it that way, but that prevented the audience from latching onto it completely. It had many glorious, golden moments, which will stay etched in my mind forever, like the bonding of the two leads in Corsica, the reunion scene of Ved and Tara, the scene where Ved confronts his parents. But moments alone can't build a movie -- these moments need to be strung together by an engaging screenplay and the movie fell behind in this aspect.

What will stay forever is the phenomenal performances by both leads, each complementing the other, one as the heart of the film(Ranbir) and the other the soul of the film(Deepika).

2. Meri Pyaari Bindu - It does have a breezy, unassuming charm about it, and it grows on you. The characters, both flawed and extremely real, end up drawing you in, rather than estranging you, and the music is endearing, to say the least. You might want to give this one a try, if you like offbeat love stories and grew up in the 80's and 90's with Hindi film music as your daily anthem.

Did you like either/both of these movies??

CULT ???

Do you understand what CULT means ?

Do you know what is those movies IMDB ratings ?

Its fan following ?

I have never heard anyone talking about both the movies that you have mentioned.

When It released, I watched both of them. Both of them was CRAP for me. So was BO, critics, audience response when it released. Even on TV airing or OTT I never heard it was doing astronomical numbers.

If I have to choose 2 movies which didn't do much business when it released but later achieved CULT status would be;

Andaz Apna Apna

Hera Pheri

Another movie which is SO BAD that its GOOD is Mithun Da's

GUNDA ..... which has today gained somewhat cult status due to it unintentional humor and some of the creepiest dialogues.

I may have been accused of being paid by Parineeti Chopra's PR team in the past. More than once. But I have to say this movie was utterly awful. Zero redeeming qualities. Okay, I did like the soundtrack. And actually I liked Parineeti in it. But it was WRITTEN and DIRECTED so so so so so badly.

There was just nothing that Parineeti and Ayushmann Khurrana could do to salvage it. I think with a more experienced director, the film could at least have been a little better. But still, the writing. It's not that I think the characters had too many flaws, but it was as if they were not "written", like they just wrote down some buzz words like "chirpy", "cheerful", "boombaat" for Bindu and wrote the dialogues on the day on set! That's why it fell apart.
