Interlude

The maturity Nishit showed in handling Biplab's situation was commendable. It's not just Kirti he cares for, but her entire family. Loved the conversation he had with Biplab about the sports day. It was probably Nishit's technique to distract him, but he also managed to share his insecurities. No points for guessing which Greenie held his hand and wasn't the least bothered. It was also nice of him to acknowledge his mistake from Diwali night. But looks like Biplab had forgiven him long before that.

Kirti is in a different zone these days, so it's not fair to blame her. But I feel what she cannot have with Nishit is coming in between of what she can have with him. A beautiful friendship. The class issue is there no doubt, but she knows Nishit is a nice person. Much better than Tejas atleast, who she has been calling her good friend all these years. Maybe she can start with gratitude first. Nishit is always there for Kirti. As a friend, mentor, philosopher, guide. Sometimes as a silent support and sometimes even as a punching bag. But he is there, if not at the front, but hovering in the background and taking charge when the situation demands. Like how he managed to take her home when he knew she was alone; how he didn't force her to eat but made sure she had a glass of milk ("You think only you can hold grudges?" ==> Dude seems to remember every taana Kirti has given him). He indulged her when she wanted to talk and vent. Gave her a ray of hope when her spirits were down and just stayed around offering her his soothing presence.

Rimjhim already doesn't have high opinion about Kirti. It will only get worse when she finds out who her mother is. More than that, I am worried how it will affect Kirti herself when she finds out who and how her mother is!

Chapter 51:

Now I get where Kirti gets this impulsive behavior from. It is surely from Karuna.

So Karuna is not feeling well and it might be serious, and she demands she wants to see Kirti married. And Kirti goes and begs Mayank to fake marry her. I do get that Kirti wants her Dadi to be happy but she did not once think, how this fake marriage will impact Mayank and his family.

Okay now this Hardiik guy is really creeping me out.

Why the hell is he watching Kirti always? And Ahilya aka Urmi has sent Harkiik as a spy to keep a watch on her own daughter?

Why the hell does she even care what happens to Kirti? And Biplab is not even in her radar? And eww she is asking Hardiik to come forward to marry Kirti?

Did Nishit tell Dadi that he will marry Kirti?

This chapter left more questions than answers GN.

Interlude:

Karuna went into coma. It must have been devastating for both Kirti and Biplab.

Biplab's panic attack was heart breaking to read.

The way Nishit handled Biplab, talking to him to remain calm, taking him to the hospital, even rubbing his foot and palms to provide the warmth and comfort, even if Biplab had a brother, not sure if he would have done what Nishit did to him.

This sweaty palm story and a girl holding Nishit's hand, was it Kirti who held his Nishit's hand?

Tejas has surely distanced himself a lot from Kirti. I am guessing it is Sana here.

It is easier to say Kirti should get a hold of herself and start to concentrate on her job etc and hope that her grandmother recovers soon, but when a person has lost so much in her life, losing someone so precious again must hurt like hell.

Nishit came again to give her his support and company.

GN, seriously I agree with Nishit, I have never heard of such a bizarre story before. Though my husband tells me rarely these Zen stories which many of them do not even have any ending or logic, this story was very strange and bizarre.

So Rimjhim came to her son's house, saw Kirti, assumed the worst and told the same to Kirti.

Kirti, true to herself said her goodbye to Nishit, not once thinking that Nishit helped her in her worst possible time, he did not deserve this kind of behavior from her.

If every time some one says some thing to her which hurts her or is not pleasant to her, she cannot be breaking off friendships, relationships like this. Kirti did not think once how much this action of hers might hurt Nishit.

On Diwali day Nishit hurt her, big time, but today what Kirti did was much worse than that.

What a lady Rimjhim is!!! So all this NGO work etc is all fake to put some kind of show to the society, to the world, where matter of fact is she hates the poor class and cannot stand them.

You are on a roll..so much happened and I just caught up. I feel sad for kirti, biplab and to an extent even Nishit. Is he still with mythili? I thought they were just friends hanging out..if Nishit is not serious with her, why is he confusing Kirti? He even offered to marry her..but in the end mis understandings and expectations again break them apart.

PS: GN, what is SSC exam?

SSC - Staff Selection Commission is an Indian government body that has the responsibility of recruiting staff for various posts in Ministries and other Departments all throughout India. It conducts competitive exams on graduate and undergraduate, even 10th class level for posts like Statistician, Auditor, Stenographer, Multi Tasking Staff.

Here, Shruti had appeared for SSC Junior Engineer Exam for student holding Diploma in Engineering. It is conducted for streams like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical. That's is why when in a previous chapter when Kirti was babysitting Sibin as Shruti was out to appear for this exam, Karuna asks Kirti why she didn't appear, Kirti's reply had been that SSC doesn't conduct exams for Computer stream.

Shruti would be posted in some organization/ department in the Govt Of India.

I am so glad you loved this song. This one has been on my mind since the time he stepped into his balcony with a cigarette in hand and couldn't help posting it after reading the Interlude. I can totally imagine him playing guitar and crooning this song 😍🧡
