I am afraid of the same. We have seen in other shows where the ML’s characters are over exaggerated once something bad/dramatic happens, it’s almost as if you are dealing with a new character. People will feel so detached from Shaurya if this happens. Everyone has a set of preconceived notion of what he is like and what he can do, so anything over the top is just going to ruin it for people. The library scene was already a little too much for me, it took me a while to reconnect with him, so anything too absurd now will ruin him for me.
I have a tendency to block out certain scenes. I choose to have selective amnesia. Also I’ve only seen the library scenes once during the initial episode watching and refuse to rewatch it! Those scenes were out of character for me but also somewhat in character.
With this wedding, it is in Shaurya’s character to make desperate decisions. I hope they don’t overindulge though because people will loose that connect like you said.
That’s the fear with writers change....they don’t know the old character sketch.
